Did anyone else feel bad for haye when he got injured vs bellew?

Yes and no. I can't stand the guy so to see him get injured and lose was great but on the flip side seeing someone in that much distress trying to fight on made me view him in a different light.... Hopefully he is fit and healthy for the whole fight this time and we can see who is the better man.

Cherrypick gone horribly wrong.

I remember 2009 to 2011 vividly with Haye and his fans talking trash about the Klitschko's, about them cherrypicking, being dull and bums. In the meantime he himself stunk out the place against Valuev, Fraudley and fought on the backfoot against far past it Ruiz. Before running and stinking out the joint again when he finally fought a Klit after pulling out twice and then blamed his pinky toe.
After his comeback he cherrypicked two complete stiffs with extremely padded records and then we got the Bellew fight.

There will never be complete justice as he got rich running his mouth and fooling his fans, but at least a little in another in a long line of cherrypicks going very wrong.

 

I used to be a big Haye fan. Then when his trash talking became disgusting and borderline revolting I went off the guy.

I also never thought he had much of a heart (all the fake injuries and cancelled fights etc) but he showed serious heart in the Bellew fight.

Haye is good for boxing in terms of selling a fight and the theatre he brings. For actually boxing though he is just a once big name looking for one last opprtunity.

With the new Cuban trainer hopefully he rediscovers some of his old boxing IQ again.

Haye speaks his mind, you have to respect that. Listen to AJ, any big name footballer, they say exactly the same thing in the same monotone voice because of all the media training.

Haye says what he thinks, I may not agree with him, but I respect him for not being a sheep like most others are.

 

I can understand why people dislike him, but he has proven what hes about through his career. Behind the smart ass pretty boy image is a tough and very skilled fighter. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him mouth off to Chisora at the press conference with Vitali and when the bully boy confronted him he stood his ground and dropped him and his sidekick trainer got his jaw wired...
