I have been in the minority for years as I also scored this fight a draw. It has been a few years...perhaps I will rewatch/rescore it this weekend.

    Awesome analysis.

Sure beats some of the delusional youtube comments:

"i think the decision was fair. Whitaker held on a lot during the fight.and jcc always putting the pressure on his opposition.and chavez was past his prime.alot of people don't want to mention that.lots of top grade fighters duct jcc for years"

"Sh*t Whitaker knew better then to try to stand with Chavez. Sweet pea saw what happen to Taylor, Chavez put his a$$ in the hospital that was it for Meldrick he was done he was never the same. Sweet pea ain't s*&t!"

"Whittaker landed more jabs than Chavez. But Chavez controlled the pace of the entire fight, and landed the more significant shots, and he completely neutralized Whittaker's defense (WTF). So people crying about robbery are just being subjective casuals."

"Chavez cleary won the fight all the running holding and shoulder roll dident work for the brotherman (lol) that night."

I guess these guys have never heard of simple aggression v. effective aggression

Do you happen to have an old card of yours? I'm genuinely curious how you came to a draw

Pacquiao/Bradley I was worse, at least Whitaker didn't get an 'L' on his record or loose his belt like Pacquiao did

The Youtube comment section is the cancerous tumor of the internet.
