Did anyone else feel bad for haye when he got injured vs bellew?

I did feel a bit sorry for him, that fight should not of gone ahead, the injury was there before the fight and was only ever going to get a lot worse very quickly. But Bellew called him out on it in the build up, told him he expected him to claim injury and run off like he had done more than once before. Haye felt like he had to fight and felt that if he could get it over and done with very early he may just get away with it. But it didnt pan out like that.

So yeah i did but even as a bit of a fan i found it a little funny too. Above anything i felt annoyed of being robbed of another level playing field fight. He was hopping around like a damn pirate.

 

I did feel bad and switched from rooting from Bellew to rooting for Haye. But I'd had alot of beers by then so wasn't thinking clearly. Having said that I do hope Haye wins the rematch to deflate Bellews deluded ego.

I said I would rather a guy talk his mind than say things he has been told to say, like most sheep do. I respect that about Haye.

Anyone who felt bad for Haye must have missed the press conferences.

You don't remember Bellew had to reassure his wife that Haye was not going to kill him.

Nope, not for a second, I'm all for a little bit of trash talk, I love it when it's good but Haye has overstepped the mark on quite a few occasions now and I really don't like him so all I wanted was to see him smacked around, shut up and embarrassed.

After all the pre fight boasts, threats and promises Haye couldn't quit when he got injured, he had to see it through and I give him respect for that but that's about as much praise as I'm giving him.

I'm just gutted it wasn't against Joshua, imagine Haye unable to move in front of AJ, now that would have been absolutely brutal.

 

bellew did nothing before haye got injured that suggested he was going to win the fight, but after saying that, haye fought like an amateur before he started some short, sharp counter-punching

Then they would have done everything to not make it count on his resume. But it would have been hilarious.

 

Well the problem is if you cancelled as many fights with FAKE injuries as Haye did in his fraudulent career then he can't cancel fights with LEGIT injuries anymore. So he has to go into the Wlad fight with a messed up toe and into the Bellew fight with a bad tendon.

 

Classic case of the boy who cried wolf.
