GGG wants "Even playing field" in Vegas for rematch vs Canelo

Exactly! His KOs stopped the minute he stopped feasting on bums like Wade. Newsflash! When you step up in comp you don't KO everyone anymore and that's what happened to GGG. I don't want to hear this now about he's declining, when everyone knows that power is the last thing to go. I wanted to witness this so called devastating power against fighters who weren't no-hopers but I never saw it.

 

Instead you saw one sided beat downs against top fighters who resorted to roiding themselves up and bribing judges in order to stand a chance.

Not to mention a fighter needing two new eyes surgically implanted along with their career all but ruined because they thought it was a good idea to fight GGG.

 

Maybe where you come from people don't change with age, but us ordinary mortals, Golovkin included, get slower and weaker the older we get. It's this irreversible biological process. It actually sucks.

I expected him to KO Jacobs because I was sold a false bill of goods that GGG was the hardest punching boxer in history by his fans and media and I didn't see it and he didn't deliver it.

I don't like GGG because his fans built him up to be the second coming gave him passes for stuff they hold other fighters accountable for and he hasn't delivered period. If it was about skin color then why do I like Fury Froch Calzaghe Paulie M Usyk and Loma? Try that **** with someone else you need to be asking why most of these GGG fans in this thread hate on every black boxer there is. That's what you should be asking. Because people didn't build up Thurman as this monster who we've never seen in the sport before and he faced legit fighters sooner than GGG did. With that said Keith "Run Time" Thurman gets plenty of hate here. He's another fighter who was knocking everyone out to but when he started facing better comp it all stopped. That's what happens in boxing when you start fighting better opposition. GGG is no different but for whatever reason his fans thought he was the exception and not the rule.

 

The only way to even the playing field against Canelo is to not fight in Vegas or Texas. Oscar would never agree to that though for obvious reasons.

 

I prefer Keith "Decision Time" Thurman but agree with what you said. I like Thurman but he really should be called "Decision Time" he hasn't had a KO in ages it seems.

I expected him to KO Jacobs because of the song and dance that was made about Jacobs not being able to take punishment. In actual fact Jacobs was bigger and tougher and a better boxer than 80% of this forum thought, me included. In fact I think Jacobs would paddle Canelo's backside worse than Golovkin did.

I don't know where you get this GGG is "the hardest puncher in history" crap from, but it's not true. He's not even a harder puncher than Lemieux. What Golovkin is, is a very, very complete boxer who has excellent technique and who happens to have a great chin and punch. He's getting old now and his opponents are getting better. That's why there isn't a destruction in the ring.

 

Again this is boxing, the art of hitting and not getting hit.. step foot in the ring sometime instead of observing it from your couch.

 

He could go a long way toward getting a fairer fight if the bout wasn't held in Las Vegas or, frankly, anywhere on the West Coast.

The Nevada Boxing Commission should be barred from participating in the rematch. Start punishing the commissions by simply avoiding their states, and they'll start cleaning up their mess.

They should fight in Chicago or New York or London ... someplace where Golden Boy doesn't have a strong foothold and the Nevada judges won't be involved.
