Floyd didn't eat half as many clean jabs to the mush as Canelo did, and Floyd usually had a significant advantage in power shots landed as well.

Neither of these advantages were evidenced in Canelo's performance and that's why Golovkin won. 115-113 GGG :deal:

The difference is that Floyd is far more active fighting and countering while moonwalking and he does not look like a winded drunk after making his opponent miss. Canelo looked good in spots making Golovkin miss shots and then sometimes he looked like he was saving his energy just to do that and nothing more. Don't sleep on Canelo's defense doe. He just needs better stamina. He needs to jog, jog, jog, cardio, cardio, cardio, and maybe some asthma medicine to stretch those lungs.
    Video comparison time.

If the rematch is in Vegas GGG needs to avoid the scorecards and just crack Canelo’s nuts into his stomach. I mean it’s 2017! Win by what ever means necessary right?!

They both shake their heads when nail hard, pretending it didn't hurt.
Yes, Canelo could have won if he fought 3 minutes for every rounds.

Alvarez would have gotten hit more if he had fought 3 minutes per round which is something he has never been able to do, he would gas out way too much, more so than in this fight. When you throw punches, you leave yourself open for counters...................I think Golovkin will go more to the body in the rematch, Golovkin is very good at adjusting....................but Oscar will still be handing out money to boxing officials. Wonder how much Bob Bennett will get? Bennett's favorite judges is Byrd................

Well on September 16th, it was G who did that first! G shook his head pretending a punch didn't hurt him when Canelo landed that hard counter right hand with 30 seconds left in round 1. So I guess now we need to include G in the "shaking head" category along with Floyd and Canelo.

I think there's some truth to that. I thought Canelo's stamina was not what it was vs G as it was vs Chavez. And I don't think it was because of anything G did to him, I just think it had something to do with his preparation and level of confidence. Vs Chavez, Canelo stood between rounds for the entire 12 round distance. Vs G, he plopped down on his stool after round 1.

He did seem slightly sapped of energy on Sept 16th compared to his energy level vs Chavez which was really impressive. Whether that had to do with the extra 4.5 lbs cushion he had at SMW, whether he prepared differently vs G, who knows, but I do think the lack of his usual stamina may have given G just enough in a couple rounds to make it the draw. In all honestly, I thought both fighters looked more fatigued than usual as they were entering the ring. I mean looking at G on his ring walk, it looked like he was coming out of a sauna. I don’t know if the temperature was too high in the arena, or maybe it was too humid in the arena, I don’t know what it was but I thought both fighters seemed more visibly fatigued than they usually are. But I thought that affected Canelo more because he’s the more dynamic counter puncher.

He never made Cotto look like an amateur what so ever. Cotto landed plenty !

Floyd was not hit, but he would land more combinations. GGG roughed up Canelo more than Floyd was every roughed up, although Floyd handpicked at the right times.

Haven't seen Golovkin vs. Canelo yet but wanted to say that yes, Canelo on his best day (that I've seen) falls well short of Mayweather on his worst...BUT, we did once in a blue moon see Mayweather eat tons of clean jabs to his mush (primarily thinking versus Cotto) but not as habitually as Canelo does whenever he faces a decent boxer (Trout, Lara etc)

enter 154 - Floyd's limit and the reason why he struggled with movement against blown-up welters at this weight
