Seriously, I know Wilder isn't particularly skilled but what is it about Whyte that scares him so much? He must think he's going to lose which stops him from getting his pay day with AJ. Say's a lot about Wilders belief if he doesn't think he can beat Whyte, but then it seems Whyte is being avoided by just about everyone other than Chisora.
Whyte really isn't good, I don't know where this notion has come from. he constantly calls people out and then fights no one of note. He even wanted 1M for a Chisora rematch, a fight which pretty much everyone thinks he lost in the first place.
He is scared to fight him because even though Whyte is not the best boxer in the world, Whyte has a live chance of a) punching him, and b) sparking him
Because everyone avoids Whyte - He offered 4 million to fight wilder which is just ridiculous and he still rejected it, no other explanation than he's scared. The reason why Whyte fights no one of note is because no one wants to fight him, Browne called him out for ages but still rejected the fight, Wilder rejects the fight, there was one other who also rejected but can't remember their name. Whyte might not be the greatest boxer but he is willing to fight anyone. They are trying to get a top 15 heavyweight on the Joshua undercard but no one wants it other than Chisora but the rematch for that is being built as a main event. Whyte isn't that great but then why does everyone seem to avoid him? Must be a reason...
Exactly. Wilder's handlers know he's packing glass, which is why they avoid fighting live bodies - to keep him vertical, and keep this illusion going that he has "devastating" power. Devastating to carnival fat men, bar drunks and cab drivers perhaps -- but against real fighters, Wilder's lack of real power and complete lack of a chin would be exposed. Which is exactly why he won't face guys like Whyte.
Dillinger has lately been fighting some tough nuts like Tann, Lewison and Bacurin. Wilder does not like that, what Wilder wants is: guys who have only fought once in two years, part-time boxers, or boxers who have mainly been involved in ball games.
I think a million isn't a ridiculous request considering he knows a) it'll be another punishing affair and b) it'll generate massive interest after the first fight was such a barnburner. I agree though, he's no world beater which makes it all the more baffling that Wilder didn't jump at the chance to face him for such good money. I can only think he was a bit worried about Dillian's out of ring behaviour and was worried him and his goons wouldn't be able to go around jumping people shouting Bomb Squad!
Whyte rocked Joshua and Wilder has frequent nightmares about AJ so in turn he's fearful of Whyte. Wilder would rather feast on the likes of Buffet (pun intended) until a cash out day against Joshua.
That's the thing, Whyte shook Joshua with a shot that would have had Wilder out cold and that scares him.
Counter left hook, pretty much the exact same shot Molina shook Wilder with, probably gives Bombzquad PTSD. This content is protected
