The offer wasn't that much better at all and would probably have meant he would have had to travel as well. There's also no guarantee of it putting him in any better position for a big unification fight,in fact he could well get 1 after this fight without risking losing a hometown decision to Whyte who doesn't even deserve a shot yet.
Dude there's a big diffrence lol those 2 examples for Wilder were both 7 years ago and Wilder has improved significantly, while Whyte 8 months ago won a split decision and was in trouble against Chisora
Wilder earns 1.4mil per fight at best. Hearn offered 3 times that. Szpilka, Arreola, Molina, Washington and Duhaupas didn't deserve shots...
Lol, he hasn't improved his chin... Which Molina almost shattered a couple of fights ago and he hasn't improved his technique when he was embarrassed by Washington last time out. Chisora would give Wilder fits.
When has he ever earns 4 million dollars or even close to that (reportedly offered to him) in a fight? My point is people are saying Whyte would be easy work for Wilder, so what does he have to risk?
