Even if Ricky loses he will still have the Taylor fight for big money of he wants it, sign out with a big fight and "pass the baton" onto taylor

Skippy Burns is finished - this fight v $2 Crolla is at least 4 years past the sell by date

I always stick a cpl of quid on the draw of close fights, will do the same of this, did it for GGG fight stuck £3 on and got £84 back, just as well cos I had a 30 quid acca that night and had Canelo to win on it. So thankfully the draw came in for me ....dont think GGG was so thankful however !!

It’s flip a coin stuff. I think Burns had a night off against Indongo and didn’t really use up too much mileage whereas Crolla’s last few fights he’s been in wars against Linares and Barroso, where he took a lot of big shots.

I like them both but I’m leaning towards Ricky Burns.

Maybe, but he lost to Relikh as well IMO, looked pretty bad there I thought

I think Burns struggles with guys that have a longer reach than him or outjab him. I think that fact that he has reach over Crolla (i think) and also that he can take Crolla's power will mean he will engage a lot more. Its a few years ago I know but Im pretty sure that Burns has sparred a fair few times against Crolla and did very well with him. I cant be 100% certain on the last point tho

This is it...most of what burns does includes his jab. Take the jab away from him and hes no where near as effective.

yup, its why i am picking Burns to edge it, with the judges giving it to Crolla and there being a rematch

When he's fought at light welter, he's had to give up advantages he had before. He was quite a big and very strong lightweight, which helped in his past performances.

I agree that his jab is key to most of his work, I don't think Crolla can take it away though.

I think Burns body work is underrated, he hurt Figueroa with a body shot (he even said that in his post fight interview when he won) and he also quite badly hurt Relikh with one in their fight.

It's something he doesn't throw as much, when he's in close I'd like to see him use it more and he also used to do very effectivr uppercuts, but again has hardly used them of late.

I don't think he will run tomorrow. Since his jaw was broken he's been scared to exchange the same v big punchers but the thing is Crolla is not a big puncher. Crolla is in better form, Ricky back at right weight, but passed his best. What will decide it is how far Ricky is past his best. If in this fight he's only 10-20% passed his best he wins, if it's more than this your got to fancy Crolla.

I think both fighters are shot to bits. I'll go Crolla by SD.
