Sot Chitalada & Happy Lora should both go in. Chitalada made 10 defences of the WBC Flyweight title over two title reigns. Lora made 7 defences of the WBC Bantam belt. Both beat hall of famers in world title fights.

Honestly, going on résumé Winky belongs in ahead of Vitali. (and Wright is also quite a h2h force to be reckoned with at 154lb in any bygone era, although I recognize he probably isn't as high on the unbeatable light middleweight list as Vitali is at heavy. The h2h arena is where Vitali really shines, and where most of his all-time ranking is weighted)

Man, there are a number of worthy candidates there. If I had to vote, I would pick: Arbachakov, Curry, Jackson, Morales, Taylor.

But, instead they will probably bring in Benn and Eubank together, overrated Ricky Hatton, Vitali Klitschko, and Morales. (There is no way Morales doesn't get in) I like Ivan Calderon, but, he was no Ricardo Lopez (or even Chocolatito). He reigned for a long time, but, only held the WBO title fighting mediocre opposition. Segura beat the brakes off him when he finally tried to unify.
If they let in talentless Vinny Pazienza, I am torching the Hall.

Only three candidates get in. The electorate get to submit five votes each but the committee tallies up the highest three vote receivers and the runners-up get nothing but the bragging rights of coming in 4th and 5th (which doesn't equal Hall of Fame status and so is worth bupkiss)

After Morales I can't see anyone else to include.

    Gilberto Roman
    Nigel Benn
    Erik Morales
    Julian Jackson
    Santos Laciar

    Honorable Mention: Sammy Serrano.

GTFOH with Ricky Hatton. Two wins over faded stars and two KO'd by two ATG's don't
    make for a HOF career.

No love for Vinny Paz? His sloppy style and Rocky showboating drew me in quickly as a young fan years, long years, ago because he was like the Ric Flair of Boxing

Quote the wrong post, buddy? That one is about Vitali. :sisi1

But yeah, I love the Pazmanian Devil, just don't think he really has a prayer of shoving his way through so much elite competition. Even going just by fame I don't think he makes it on the "Gatti principle" either, as until the recent movie was made about him I'm guessing the average young person or mainstreamer (anyone that isn't of at least a certain age and into boxing) probably never heard of him.

Wait, honorable mention to Serrano of all people but Hatton needs to GTFO? ...and for those reasons?

Serrano lost strictly to ATG's, did he? Or has a Tszyu level win??

That said, I am skeptical of whether Rick belongs in the IBHOF purely on ability or even accomplishment rather than just the "fame principle". He's borderline on the former two criteria, shoe-in by the latter.

Vinny was certainly fun to watch...both inside and outside the ring...but he doesn't have a HOF
resume IMO. Bleeding doesn't make up for lack of a high level of ability; otherwise Vito
Antuofermo would be in the HOF. (Maybe he is....)

I wonder how Vinny would do on Dancing with the Stars?

Anyone who could beat someone named Battlehawk Kazama should be in consideration. Plus voting for a
Puerto Rican would be appropriate after the mess that PR is in right now...kind of a mercy vote.

Morales is shoo-in. Calderon is a good shout. H2H Wright. Curry is a good pick. Then: Eubank, Jackson, Benn, McGirt, Vinny, Michalczewski, Moorer (beat a prime Holyfield says alot! and moved up in weight) There's many on this list I've never seen fight or researched so i'm going by the ones I've seen and know of.
