Good night ,bad night Louis was 27 years old, had been fighting every month he was as prime as he could be.

Tyson gets to conn fast imo. Maybe not as fast as the spinks ko, but not much longer. Frazier I see catching him with a cracking left around the 5 th. Marciano, I actually see him struggling for a portion of the fight against conn, especially if it's a first Louis ft version. But eventually marciano catches him, after Billy starts to stand his ground more. Probably around the 9 th and maybe behind on the cards.

But it was not Louis at his best. Very well documented that Louis overtrained for this bout. If we were to put Frazier, Marciano and Tyson in the ring with Conn a better head to head comparison would be each on an off night not at their best night.

Louis made no mention of overtraining for the fight in his autobiography, can you provide a credible source for this please? He had gone 7 rounds with Buddy Baer just 4 weeks earlier, I doubt he had much training to do!

He got down to a lower than typical weight. Louis stated his best weight was 202 but he did not want the announcer to say Louis 202 (over 200) and Conn at or below 170. Thus he either overtrained to bring his weight down or dried out. Both produce similar results... sluggishness.

They all had courage before getting in with Tyson. Tyson obliterates Conn soon after the first bell, the others he can move with until they warm up, then it’s hurt and chop down soon after. Tyson absolutely annihilates him though, like stupidly easy

Conn gets destroyed by Tyson. Frazier stops him. He would have a chance with Rocky. His fast feet, great chin and slashing style would give him a mild chance of an upset. He was really good the night he fought Louis.

All of them would KO him though. I mean he might a few rounds against Marciano. He'd get ko'd fast be Tyson and Frazier probably takes him out in the first 5 rounds

Tyson blasts Conn out very early, too much of a size difference. Plus, I don't buy that Conn was all too durable above 175. He didn't really get hit much vs Louis and when he did he went down like a sack of ****. I think he does a bit better than Spinks, but not much better.

Frazier is Conn's worst nightmare. Any version of Joe chews him up and spits him out. What's more is that Conn had massive trouble with swarmers like Yarosz, Dundee, Corbett etc; in his middleweight days. Frazier TKO4/5

Marciano-Conn might be the strangest looking fight I've ever imagined. Both are so raw and ugly fundamentally, and both rely on physical gifts more than perfect skills. I tend to think that Conn does better than Moore because he'll cut and run, fighting overly negative. Marciano gets to him about the tenth.

Obviously this thread is supposed to draw comparison between Louis and these three fellas, so I'll finish up with this:

Louis fought six times in six months, with a total of 41 rounds, leading up to the first Conn fight. He also purposefully drained weight to get below 200lbs, so it didn't seem like he was "bullying Billy". Add that to the fact that this is easily Conn's best recorded performance (he may have better as a middleweight/light-heavyweight), and that the unorthodox movement and insane speed was awful for Louis in the first place, and it's no wonder that Louis was down on the cards. And the weight draining also explains why he was hurt. I said it this morning, but only because it's true, that the rematch is more representative of what the best versions of Conn and Louis would look like if they fought. Despite both being past it.
