Hunter watched the fight and saw Golovkin winning - eight rounds to four.

But he doesn't have a major problem with the contest become a twelve round draw.

"I had Golovkin winning the fight. If I’m not mistaken, I had it 116-112. I had Golovkin winning the fight. I thought Alvarez fought well but I thought he fought in spurts. I thought Golovkin pretty much made the fight, but it was a great fight. A draw is acceptable if everybody can’t come to the conclusion of who won. There’s always a rematch to sort it out and find out who really won," Hunter told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

There are ongoing discussions to have the rematch take place in May 2018.

Hunter believes the rematch will take place, next. He says Canelo would take a lot of heat if he passed on GGG and instead fought another opponent.

In his opinion, Canelo's back is against the wall and based on the overall circumstances he must face Golovkin next.

"I expect them to fight each other next, that’s what they should do — I know Golovkin wants it. If Canelo went off to fight somebody else, I don’t think that would be received well, based on his great performance and also based on the fact that there’s really no way out for him other than to take the rematch. Unless Canelo wants to be criticized, there’s no reason for him not to take the fight. I expect to see a rematch and hopefully we can get a clear and concise winner on paper in that match," Hunter said.

Oh he's not going to like this... he's not going to like this at all!

He had a fit when Mayweather advised Ward to honor the rematch clause with Kovalev.

He is correct about Golovkin winning the fight approx. 98% had Golovkin winning the fight..................

Kovalev should have a rematch with SOB in Moscow, with Russian judges, referee and boxing commission, after all, Kovalev had to have SOB's officials who were crooked as hell! Weeks, three blows to the testicles and he calls it a TKO! Weeks saw the blows................Kovalev wanted neutral judges, but SOB said that neutral judges would be unfair. Kovalev will beat SOB in neutral territory if the rules are enforced, no doubt about it.

Its a shame for Canelo as he is a superb, brave typical Mexican warrior who is an elite Boxer of the highest order. Unfortunatly Oscar and GBP have turned him in to one of those cash cows whose career has been manipulated to make his promoters maximum profits. His decisions are made for him, his path is steered one way and then another, certain fighters avoided, weights seem questionable, score cards that dont stack up, drug testing options not taken up, and as good as Canelo is his career starts getting filled with strange question marks.

Oscar, in his persuit of money, has got people questioning Canelo, he doesnt take this rematch there is a whole new batch of questions about his career and stuff like that sticks long after they have retired.

Golovkin wants the fight in Dec., but Alvarez wants it in May, but I am afraid the rematch will be delayed for years. Golovkin should fight Saunders for the WBO title to keep sharp. Oscar doesn't want Golovkin to keep active. I say fight Saunders in Dec. if they won't fight in Dec................but stay active, it's good for Golovkin's timing and distance. Golovin is going to Mexico to help victims also act as rep. for WBC and his Mexican fans..................

I agree with Hunter. There's little doubt Canelo has to face GGG again for his own legacy. Great fighters are capable of coming back to win a fight they lost and with the outcome of the first fight There's even greater pressure to fight Golovkin again because of the controversy. If the verdict wasn't so controversial there wouldn't have been such an outcry by the masses pressing Nelo to do the right thing. No one has heard from Alvarez since the fight so you know he's been affected quite a bit by all of this

Probably. Tequila is a great way to forget about your troubles. However, there's never been an answer at the bottom of a bottle....not even top shelf bottles on a yacht in the Gulf of Mexico. Lol

GGG nor Alvarez got beaten from pillar to post. It just wasn't one of those kinds of fights. But there was a clear winner and a controversial outcome which is common in these mega fights, unfortunately. With the overwhelming majority seeing a clear win for GGG the rematch is going to be even bigger. It will be interesting to see how the outcry of fans calling this a robbery has impacted Alvarez's mentality? Will he rise or fall? That's a big question mark for the young champion
