Gotta say, CEJ impressed me today. I thought he'd win, but expected Yildirim to last the distance and thought he'd have some more moments of success than he did. Getting him out early is an impressive result.

 

Eubank looked good because avni is slow as hell you think groves is on this guys level?
Groves will make him miss jab him to death and land his shots he is a bigger better version of saunders

I'm gutted I don't gamble more on boxing. Sexton was 4/5 to beat Cornish yesterday. Eubank was a clear cert here. Should have doubled and backed them big.

 

Yeah... That's not why you're backing him and riding his nuts - Let's get real here. Eubank Sr. knew his son had no defense and would have been a sitting duck, hence their turning the fight down.

Yes - most of us saw a mid 30s Golovkin decisively beat a young and prime Canelo, only to be robbed by crooked Vegas judges. You didn't see this because of the hate boner you have for the guy.

 

The thing about Callum Smith is his power stays with him late in fights, he fought poorly but still beat an impressive unbeaten Skoglund (who was shorter but impressed me)
Smith is also fundamentally excellent, uses his jab well throws one twos well, great footwork. He's smarter than allowing Eubank free easy uppercuts, he'll eat away at Eubank with a solid jab and probably take the fight on points. Eubank just LOVES fighters who come forward and bring the fight - he still hasn't had enough experience fighting movers, which will be his downfall.

 

Eubank will beat groves easy. And I like groves.

It was a good win but let's not get carried away. Groves is on a different level. Can't wait for the Groves CEJ fight (assuming Groves eases past Cox who really doesn't belong in this tournament).
