Ummm cause he was a green fighter? Seriously are you ok? Pacquiao in his early career lost fights badly in which I guess by your logic? Pacquiao isn't better then GGG atg right? Smh
Tough one to call. Tito is better than anyone GGG has fought to date and likely may ever fight. Neither men were the type you wanted to stand and trade with both devastating punchers with real killer instinct. This match up is reminiscent of McClellan/Jackson, both huge punchers who regularly put people to sleep. Bigger more durable middleweight vs a more dynamnic puncher from a lower weight who arguably hits even harder than the naturally bigger man. But then again maybe it isn't a rerun of McClellan/Jackson but more like Benn/McClellan. The faster more dynamic puncher beats the easier to hit bigger man to the punch all night and rides the odd bad moment, picking himself off the floor to win like Tito often did. Suffice to say whatever the outcome both guys may very well leave something in the ring. You can't go up against punchers like these with a poor defence and not pay a price. I think it would of been a war. Tito starts faster, hurts GGG, Golovkin keeps ploughing forward paying a horrible price by continually eating huge punches to land his own, but gradually finds his way back into the fight. Then it's a matter of attrition, does GGG's chin give out before Tito's will does from the constant pressure. Tito isn't the type to fold easily, he often finished fights strongly, someone once described him as creeping death, he wore guys down with his power much like GGG does. Would be a fantastic fight, I don't have a clue who wins.
It sounds like the way you describing tito would win. Trinidad most of the time doesn't start fast. Especially in the first 2 or 3 rounds in which he'll want to figure his opponents out first before putting the pressure on.
Ok so why was he beaten off Vargas and Simon? These fighters must be legendary if Winky lost to them and he himself is leagues above GGG.
Dude really? What did I just type? Winky back in 94 WAS A GREEN FIGHTER IN WHICH HE WASNT A GREAT FIGHTER YET!!!!! SMH
Winky didn't lose to Vargas and Simon in '94......yes really he truly didn't. Now answer my question.
I didn't say it like that smh. I said by your logic cause you bring up about wright back in the early to mid 90s lost to Vasquez and Simon when he wasn't a great fighter yet. You using that argument to think ggg is better then wright and try to say wright ain't a great defensive fighter smh. I'm going by your logic that if Pacquiao lost early in his career vs a bum journeymen then I guess ggg is better then Pacquiao atg? Get what I'm saying?
I didn't say he didn't lose to both fighters in 94. He lost a very close one to Simon in 98 in which he still wasn't a great fighter yet. A year later in 99 he became a very good fighter. You clearly not a real boxing fan since you only look at wright resumes and not live fights smh.
He lost to both fighters in '98/99, he was 27/28, he was 38-1 when he lost to Simon and a world title holder and former challenger. Now how is he "green"?
