Him going the distance has more to do with the quality of opposition he's in there with than his power being over hyped or GGG getting old over night. He isn't a spring chicken at 35 but he's relatively fresh when it comes to how many ring miles he has on the odometer. Golovkin has real power but it's not a mythical super human power a few of his most die hard fans would like the world to believe. As an opponent you just don't want to test the theory

 

Manny was never thought to be top 3 ATG, ever. If that's true....please produce a link to the article or rankings showing PAC was that high on the list.

Consensus thought Floyd beat Manny....not as overwhelming as the consensus that had GGG beating Alvarez but consensus none the less. Consensus had Lennox beating Holyfield in their first fight. So the majority of the time, the consensus is spot on.

 

How does beating a turd like Yildrim, who had beaten nobody, prove anything?

 

Beating a scrub doesn't necessarily support your tip.

In particular the replay from the ref's body cam, it looked brutal from the ref's perspective not surprised he stopped it there and then.

Yeah, but Floyd and Ward beat Elite level fighters. Floyd's an ATG ffs and Ward is arguably one too. You just compared Chris Eubank Jr to two modern greats like a spastic. CEJ is very good but his opponents have been selected for him to look good bar BJS who made him look ordinary. That Turkish guy was garbage.

 

I am not a massive boxing fan but I follow the British boxers. IMHO Fury (drugs and mental health permitting), AJ and CEJ are all utter class.

CEJ has not ducked anybody. Some people criticise him for taking easy fights (to some extent that's true); others for ducking GGG. Maybe he's just not stupid enough to fight a great until he has a bit more experience?

He has constantly improved and has so much going for him. His one defeat was to a pretty decent fighter. For my money CEJ gave BJS the first 4-6 rounds, then clearly showed he was the better boxer but just fell short. He was an idiot and he deserved to lose, but he was the better fighter (just not on the night over 12 rounds).

He destroyed the Turk last night. Might well have lost the second, just, but given wahat he did in the first and especially third you can't argue.

I really like him. Flashy, agressive, skilled - great fighter to watch.

 

No i am comparing the level of hate, Thy guy took out that turk in spectacular fashion, People are acting like they can't see this guy has tremendous speed, fitness and punch combinations that are unrivaled by anybody else in the division. We have seen it over and over again since the blackwell fight, the talent is undeniable regardless of the opposition, and stop acting like he is anywhere near the same fighter he was back when he fought billy joe saunders, that was 9 fights ago He is a completely different beast now. People are just hating refusing acknowledge hes the real deal.

If you can't see talent like this before a fighter steps up to elite fighters you DKSAB, There is a reason, certain fighters get signed up and fought over by promoters long before they have faced an elite fighter, its because the talent is obvious to see.
