I picked Joshua since this question is rather ridiculous.

So they choose to be heavier so they will be worse fighters? Do you realise how stupid that makes you sound? LOL!!!!
The reason they come in with far more muscle is they need it to compete at that level. Obviously!
The reason Perez lost weight and dropped to cruserweight( a lower paying weight) is because he can not compete with the superior heavyweights. Which is obvious to anyone with half a brain.

It's not muscle moron, Its just fat. Perez didn't lose any muscle, he got rid off the fat. And the guys I mentioned would all easily come down to 210 lbs without losing any fat. Hell, a guy like Ruiz Jr(who arguably beat the regning WBO champ) could be able to make LHW without losing serious muscle if he was as dedicated and as good at cutting weight as someone like Canelo.

Mike Perez was a fringe top10 HW, now he's a fringe top10 cruiserweight. He was far, far, far superior to your mancrush Gary Cornish.

People keep bringing up size like it's the be all and end all in regards to who wins.

Fact is Ali has plenty of attributes that would trouble Joshua. Just look at the fight between Savon and Joshua in the Olympics to see that. He was out jabbed, beaten to the punch, out maneuvered and unable to put his punches together against such a mobile target and as good as Savon is, he isn't half as quick or as agile as Ali was in his prime. Savon is a similar size to Ali, half an inch taller and about 10lbs lighter than Ali.

Ali could get hit, usually by smaller, quicker heavyweight he didn't have a huge speed advantage over. Bigger heavyweights the Terrells, Listons etc he could dance around and out speed to win. Even after his prime, his speed alone plus ring smarts had him overcome the bigger Foreman. The smaller guys like Frazier, Spinks, Jones, Cooper could get to Ali unlike the bigger slower guys and Joshua is a bigger slower guy.

As for size if Ali had lived in this time he would of very likely been a bigger, taller heavyweight. Identical twins height can differ by as much as 10cm due to differences in diet and other factors. The 6'3" Ali in the modern era potentially could of been 6'7" with a 10cm increase. Also fighting in an era where he didn't have to go 15 rounds he'd likely be bigger and more muscular. You think Joshua could go 15 rounds, if you watch the old fights those last 3 rounds often saw guys exhausted in a way you rarely see now in a 12 round fight. Those last 3 rounds would be very bad for current Joshua.

We'll never really know who would win, we can only make educated guesses. Personally I like to stick to the old adage, styles makes fights and Ali has a style that troubles Joshua, whatever the size Ali is. The movement, the jab, the speed, Ali's durability and lets not forget Ali's mind games.

Exactly. Cooper and Frazier both gave Ali problems, but they were small men, fast hands and good left hooks. Doug Jones another small heavy with faster hands who gave a young Ali problems. These guys are nothing like Joshua. Just because these guys gave Ali issues doesn't mean Joshua would at all.

Wlad's left hook was fast and lethal ! Lewis was fast also..None I mentioned are slow, I might make a case for VK compared to Ali but Ali got caught plenty. Why you think he ended up in the shape he was in??? He weren't no Floyd

No particular order Ali , Holmes , foreman , Lewis, Frazier, Tyson ,Holyfield , norton , Liston Louis and yes Ali got caught when older but not in prime pre exile not flush like it would have to be and the fighters you mentioned might have a chance but not josh he’s done nothing and proved nothing not yet and Ali fought on too long granted but Micheal j Fox has Parkinson’s I think he got the condition then carried on fighting which made the big problem and yeah Ali was a warrior not a scared running puff like Floyd so no he’s not like Floyd

Ali got caught plenty prime. Norton Frazier are 2 i'd pick 41 yr old klit to beat. And if Klit fought behind a jab that figure rises. He was more aggressive than usual v AJ. Don't be too hard on AJ, he proved he can get up from a monster shot and win. He proved heart and survival skills also. The 70's golden era aint doing a fat lot v these super heavys with skills. This aint Ernie Terrel or Chuck Wepner. These fellas are the new level to beat

This is one of the worst threads I've ever read in this forum. Seriously Joshua who's best win was barely got by a 41 years old decline Vladimir would've beat a prime ali? Why cause ali never fought guys over 6'3? You should check again. And regardless of what height, Joshua would get tired easily by trying to land a big shot while ali makes him miss badly in which ali would've just toy with him with movement and landing jabs, right hands and combinations. <<<<Real quick combination.
