The voice of boxing Jim Lampley signs a multi deal for HBO!

Maybe Jim will get a new pair of designer glasses. I know you guys remember his easter purple glasses when he was trying to be hip for a minute. He wore them on his show and a few presentations. The guy is trash. You guys can fake only so much lol

 

I dislike Lampley pushing an agenda as much as anyone, but what choice does he have considering he'd be without a job if he didn't follow the script?

I've always said that one of the worst things that ever happened at HBO for us the fans is compubox.
The higher up's at HBO so have the punchstat numbers rigged so that their is less chance that their agenda will be questioned.
HBO is constantly using punchstats, round after round, where if you go over to Showtime, they rarely present punchstat numbers, certainly not round after round.

For a more fair less manipulated boxing broadcast, tune over to Showtime people.

You like scripted broadcasts you say? HBO is your station!

This guy is always biased. Jim Lampley was pretty fair in all those fights I felt. Larry Merchant was also fair. Same with Manny Steward.

 

Couldn't agree more. They use to promote all fighters too instead of a selected chosen. What really also turns me off is Max, Roy and Jim stumble all over eachother. Add Lederman to that as well. They argue and try to talk over eachother. It's horrendous.
