Remember Wilder saying he's the A side vs. AJ. Yet Wilde rmakes less vs. Stiverne than Pulev is making as mandatory vs. AJ loooool

Damn 20mil for a fight that not many even want to see?? It’s just a mandatory defense against Pulev who is unknown in the UK. That puts his earning for 2017 well over 40 million plus endorsements. AJ has most endorsements and sponsorships of any current active athlete!! All that and he hasn’t even had 20m fights.. Mayweather and Canelo weren’t making 20mill in their 19th fight.

If Pulev can somehow get a rematch, he'll be able to buy Bulgaria outright.

There's a price to pay for not converting that "v" to a "u". No wonder Latin's a dead language- nobody could afford it anymore.

Just hope Wilder is getting excited about earning that much against Joshua when his time comes cuz if he thinks he is getting any more he can forget it. He wasnt willing to make a good reputation for himself by facing quality, he wasnt willing to face Whyte which was in reality was a means to try build Wilders name seeing as he is unable to do it for himself.

And it was ok to lowball Golovkin who had all the belts put on the negotiating table.

Wow that's a lot of money for what will just be a run of the mill defence for Joshua. When you consider Wlad was making 6-7 mill for is bog standard defences the fact Joshua can earn so much against a non draw is pretty astounding. We haven't see a heavyweight make close to this kind of money for a non super/unifcation type fight since Tyson in the 90's.

Took him only 3 years of fighting nobodies.
Pulev literally had to wait for 3 years and only fight Chisora to get that money fight. Thats a worthy investment.
At 39, Pulev might get another crack

If AJ remains unbeaten for 6-7 fights he could well make over $150 million at this rate.

He's probably going to make that anyway from endorsements and such like.

Important to remember that fighter purses can be a skewed indicator of earnings when the fighter promotes their own fights. Tough to know what Wlad really made because of that, but it's usually more profitable for big-name fighters to handle that themselves these days - which is why most of the biggest names do just that (sometimes partnered with bigger named promoters on short-term deals). Pac's kind of a dinosaur by sticking with Arum his entire career.

It'll be interesting to see if AJ sticks with Hearn for the long haul like Pac did with Arum, or if he strikes it out on his own after awhile like Floyd, the Klitschkos, Cotto, etc.

Doesn't even have to remain unbeaten. As long as he bounces back, his stock will keep rising.
