I knew what it meant before.
Except I would never use it because I am not an ostentatious preener .
You are labouring under the false impression that when God handed out brains you were the only one in the queue.
I've met a few up their own a*se twats like you in my 68 years , I've never liked any of them, and you are not the exception!

You'd never use it anywhere, in any context, or just not among a bunch of uneducated boxing fans?
If that's what you mean, then who's the snob?

I'd never use it anywhere, it is ostentatiously parading ones knowledge and as such is an exercise in patting oneself on the back, something you do all the time. Some of my friends are big boxing fans , 5 of them are teachers ,and very erudite. You just mugged yourself.
ps Not for the first time.

My god is the OP a sadist?

Lewis would ANNIHILATE any version of Roy Jones. Honestly the KO would be so bad I doubt we would ever have seen Jones fight again.

Johannson was out 8 minutes after Patterson decked him in the rematch. Roy might be out at least that long.

Based on the way Jones was knocked out by Tarver, Johnson, etc, Lewis landing a flush right hand on Jones would be well, terrifying tbh. Career-ending, most likely.

No point in discussing it as it would've never happened.

It would definitely have been Lenny The Killer facing Jones...the evil one who laser-stared at Shannon Briggs without blinking in the ring before the bell, who swooped in on and destroyed Razor Rudduck, who annihilated Golota and Botha ...and not that overly cerebral chess player version who fought Holyfield.

Not in the pro ranks he wasn't.

In fact he was a SMW before dropping down to MW to fight for a vacant belt so he could avoid his mandated fight vs Nigel Benn.

Well he was mandatory for Benn's WBC 168 belt for over a year and was even the WBC continental champ at the time and instead of fighting him moved down to 160 to fight for a vacant belt.

Hard to not call that a duck really.

Hardly a duck to face Hopkins Malinga Tate and Toney. Most of them were better than Benn, if not as crazy.

However out of the britsquad of SMWs, benn is the only one I would pick to have a fair chance of catching up with jones.

At the time Hopkins wasn't ranked in the top 5 of the middleweights, he was a virtual nobody. Being someones mandatory for over a year and then moving down a weight to fight for a vacant belt vs an unknown at the time looks like a duck to me.

Just calling it like I see it, Jones was well known for avoiding punchers.
