I could post my list, but that would be too easy..It is demonstrative in why it is easy to hate on him. Is Wilder the most hated man in boxing today, and what in your opinion, is the reason why?
He's one of them. 1. American 2. successful 3. weak opposition as a titlist 4. has a network and promoter backing him I've rooted for him to lose in just about every fight of his but the passionate hatred some have for him is a little curious. Whatever your reasons are, if consistent, there are almost certainly more qualified to hate. But we are boxing fans, the biggest diva fan base of any sport on the globe.
When pbf was active it was him when he retired it became ward now that he retired the usual suspects have now moved on to wilder.
After nearly 40 fights he still hasn't stepped up while he claims he is one of the best ever. Anyone that denies this point deserves to be horsewhipped, horsewhipped i say!!!!
Wilder does not help himself and the last few weeks are a perfect example of why Wilder doesn't help himself. Wilder calling out Joshua is fine, I have no problem with that but to suggest Joshua needs him is completely delusional. Joshua's mandatory, Pulev is earning more fighting AJ than Wilder will get for fighting Stiverne. Joshua will probably earn more against Pulev than Wilder has earned in his entire career yet Wilder says AJ needs him to go "global". It's a level of stupidity and delusion that deserves ridicule. Wilder wants Joshua money and the respect that goes with it, I sort of understand his frustration but he has to go out and earn it, Joshua fights Klitschko, Wilder fights Stiverne II and Wilder does not understand why people don't take him seriously. Wilder just needs to shut his mouth, stop tweeting delusional rubbish and have a couple of solid defences against good opposition.
Wilder basically wants all the rewards with no risks. But as the saying goes in life, no risks no rewards. Something that Wilder doesnt seem to understand.
Wilder is annoying and clearly an idiot and is just like a walking talking 1990,s cliche. He has taken all the things he says and does from things he saw Boxers do in the 90,s. With his cut throat signs and Roman masks and catch phrases. But unlike the American greats from the 90,s he has still not actually fought anybody good to back up anything he says. I dont hate him i just think he is a massive pratt. Hate Ward though. Scum bag. Yet unlike Wilder he has completely proved himself over the years.
Yes, Wilder is hated for his sense of entitlement. Wilder is demanding respect and being the A list, he demands top dollars yet a reality check yields different results: - Has fought only 1 top 10 fighter in his 38 (!!!!!) fights - He's not a PPV figher, he's not a draw - He generates tiny purses of around $1.5 million, generates local interest in his home state Alabama - Complains about and disrespects top fighters, yet refuses to make fights with them, claiming he's the #1 and the A game. "They have to come to me". Wilder is a typical entitled crybaby who wants the world but doesn't realize he has to put in actual work and risk into the equation. Work first, then the money will follow. Lazy crybabies want money and fame first without putting any work in!
