Well he has never been hit full on by Groves in 10 ounce gloves and he will in the semi finals. Style wise EUbank Jr will bring and George Groves is a sharp technical boxer puncher. You saw what he did to a good unbeaten confident fighter in Jamie Cox who can fight tonight.

I don't give a damn, he was a walking defenseless punching bag who Spike teed off on for 4 rounds, most of the shots he landed were flush and Nick never went down, sure after 4 rounds of being a punching bag the ref mercifully stopped it, but CEJ wasn't a punching bag was he? He got hit flush like twice, can't make any proclamations about CEJ's chin based on that can we? We do know its Nick Quigley level doe.

If Groves fights CEJ like he fought Cox he will be on the wrong end of a brutal TKO/KO he will have to do a Degale type performance to nick it on points imo.

GG is at least one grade above Jr, skill wise. Sure, chin might be somewhat suspect but Jr. is not a one punch KO artist. And Yidrim walking into a hook with chin up doesn’t qualify Jr. for one either.

    Going with GG ud.

Oh, so now Chris is some kind of savage KO artist I assume, what are you basing this on? He KO'd a clearly chinless Yildirim in violent fashion, is that supposed to somehow invalidate the countless times Chris has nearly gone the distance unloading for minutes at a time, literal maelstroms of punches incapable of putting his opponents on their ass?

Truly KO's do cause amnesia, in fans as well as the recipients evidently.

Sheeesh Groves obviously confident he can outbox CEJ after their sparring sessions.

Don't get me wrong, even though I believed Eubank would beat everyone in this tournament, I was pessimistic that he would pull out.

However, Jnr is going nowhere and Groves looks shook anytime Jnr's name is brought up

I honestly can't wait until after the fight to see how many Eubank haters jump on the bandwagon.

As a Eubank fan since the Channel 5 days, I've seen it happen slowly every fight and then you had a plethora of people change their minds after last week. Just wait until he bodybags Groves.

And I'm saying this as a Groves fan too, I was there at Wembley cheering him on against Froch.

Eubank stylistically cannot be beaten by Groves.

The Eubanks tried hard to get a Degale fight. When that didn't happen they pointed their focus on Groves and by entering WBSS they have trapped him. Groves is a dead man walking.

o_O Was based on that he was shaken a couple of times by a not very heavy handed Cox and has been hurt, knocked down and been KO'ed before and his punch resistance seems (to me) to be on the wain, and i just feel his best chance is to outbox CEJ like he did with DeGale.

    Just being realistic.

When was the last time a proper champion did that?

The best don't do that, go out on their shield.

    How am I a armchair warrior ? I didn't say I'd do better.

Facts are facts, he jumped up instantly when he ref waved the fight off, this is a fact.

Now get your little dick out of cox' arse

From most of the sparring stories, Cox hits like a truck, same as with Spike, Cox hurt him, but didn't drop him, what if Eubank can't hurt Groves either? Yildirim as rudimentary as he is, was timing Eubank and caught him with several counters, and let's be honest, its not like Eubank has ever been in the ring with as big a puncher as Groves, with the accuracy of Groves, who's a natural counter puncher like Groves, except for BJS on the last two, who also rocked him a few times, and beat him. Groves isn't just going to stand there like a shithead and let Jr. tee off, he'll be landing sneaky body shots, and uppercut counters every time CEJ predictably lunges forward, Groves won't be the aggressor initially, so he won't be giving Jr. ample chances to counter him like Yildirim.
