Heres what i took out of Hurd Vs Trout. Hurd is technically a very bad boxer, he will grind you down and look to tire you out, thats his route to victory. What i also learnt is what i knew before, Hurd can be outboxed by a smart boxing brain, good footwork and a good engine, give him a Lara unification fight and he will be exposed. Id like to see him fight Charlo and drop his hands like that. Fairplay to Hurd he got the win tonight, but he for sure isnt the top 154lber.

Jermall would stop Hurd. I think Hurd beats Jermell though it's a close fight.

Man. The last shot Trout ever gets at the big time.....and his corner throws in the towel. SMDH.

Saving him from what exactly??? To fight another day? To save the punishment? That was his career.

Ha! Let's see what Hurd has got in the future. He's entertaining.

Well, I don't see how luck factored in. I saw a tremendous fight between two determined boxers, where the challenger was outclassing the champion in the early going. But his will was never broken, he persevered, and he began fighting his way back, despite getting thoroughly outclassed and outmaneuvered over the first half of the fight.

I thought it was an awesome fight, with both boxers displaying tremendous heart and determination, with an awesome come from behind effort. But hey. What do I know?

Eh I disagree. Trout shouldn't have been way up. 6-4 or 5-5 were fair scores. Austin took the early rounds and Hurd won the mid rounds.

I think Hurds style had something to do with Trout getting tired. This is what Hurd does, it's not luck at all if he does it consistently.

Regardless of what anyone says about Hurd at least that was a great fight. Seen some quality fights so far tonight in Ryder-Nielsen, Groves-Cox and Hurd-Trout.

if hes talentless why do you go do it? quit hating dude. its not a coincidence both his last 2 fights the guys tired out. thats what he does. hes big n strong . hits the body early and takes u out in championship rds. you will get ur wish if he fights a charlo brother or lara tho so just hold on he will lose to either charlo , andrade, or lara. so just wait buddy u will get ur wish.

I don't think people are giving Hurd credit. His opponent didn't just gas and slow down for nothing. Hurd lands hard akward punches. He may have to eat a few combos to land his but his punches that do land are hard thudding punches. Add his good chin and relentless pace it can make a good boxer with little power gas.

I'd love to see how his chin holds up to a heavy hitter.
