    Yeah, he has a lot to learn and I hope that his trainer sees that and helps him make the changes he needs to make because he can become an excellent champion. Right now, he gets hit entirely too much and he don't have too. He can't move up to MW fighting like he is fighting now.

    Hurd's got better defense than given credit for; has a knack for finding the range to make contact and the gradually imposes himself. By dropping his hands (and winning the round) that was a signal that he had imposed himself on Trout.


    Trout's a southpaw; but Hurd was able to get the jab in there from time to time. He did square up, yeah; but he still caught a lot of Trout's imcoming on the gloves and rolled with enough of them to take the sting out of them. He could definitely use the jab more and has done it in previous fights, but I don't think he's as bad technically as people are making him out to be.

    .... put him in with lara then.. I dare him lol... if trout can school him like that for 5-6 rounds... lara will really beat his ass for 12rounds lol... it would be such a bad beating for 12 rounds hurd may retire after lmao.

    Well in m,y defense, this was always a highly plausible scenario for a guy who's old, chin and is coming off of a 17 month layoff. I didn't say you lucked out with Jermall and JRock, you were right and I was wrong, that doesn't mean you'll be right on this one though.

    I understand what you mean but he was being caught frequently on the way in when Trout was stationary and not on the move. Using his jab more would have seen him avoid taking some punches he didn’t have to take on the way in, especially Trout’s uppercuts.

    Each to their own my friend, he has two inches on trout and they are practically similar heights at 5`9, southpaws, Lara has a master boxing brain, tremendous footwork, and will not gas when it hits round 8.
