He strikes me as one of those guys that could pack it in the first time he loses by stoppage, and now that he's at MW, with minimal power, you never know, it may end up being sooner than many of us think.

Canelo Alvarez can make many more millions and he's young, he wouldn't retire lol. Fighting is all he knows. He's been fighting pro since he was 15. He's going to make as much as he can. He also has a daughter, I think he's a single dad?

He's all in, wants to be remembered as one of the greatest ever. NOT one of the greatest Mexicans ever, ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER.

5,6 more years of building his great legacy and he'll be there

I'll guess late 30s, years after he ceases to be a world class fighter. It's rare when boxers actually don't fight on too long and after they decline.

They do something their whole lives and get praise and money from it, it's kind of hard to stop.

If he don't squeeze his big butt back down to 154 then he is in for a dose of hard reality. Them big boys at 154 is about to move up and they are bringing great skills with them, along with the pain.

El Pollo has the judges, referee, boxing commission on his side. He knows it too. Oscar is setting Golovkin up with corrupt judges once again................plus, Oscar does not want Golovkin to fight again until their rematch in May, or Sept., but is suspect they might wait until Golovkin is 40 years old. Golovkin should have gone ahead and fought Saunders in Dec. as El Pollo refused.................

El Pollo refused to fight Golovkin in Dec., hell, Golovkin does not want to wait out his career being inactive..............he wants to fight often...............Golovkin stays sharp by fighting often, he's that kind of fighter, Oscar knows it too.............

Wait.. Only GGG was at 160. I think he will have to pick and choose carefully at that weight.
