Confirmed - Whyte vs Helenius on Joshua-Pulev undercard.

I don’t really think Whyte is all that but he’s a very tough, durable fighter. Their best wins were both very ropey decisions against Chisora.
Stylistically, I think Whyte is going to get on the inside and knock the very slow, lumbering Helenius, out. He takes far too many easy shots imo.

 

Building towards a Chisora/Whyte PPV in the near future I presume.

 

More like an AJ rematch. Hearn is doing his typical matchroom promotion, make 'offers' then say his fighter is getting ducked.
The casuals fall for it all the time.

 

Well $3 mil to Wilder was true. Wilder admitted it . Wilder doesn't make that fighting anyone other than AJ.

 

I'm not sure what to make of Helenius, looked a cert to be challenging a Klit but had a bad injury and contract problems and long lay off with some fairly average displays since and one bad loss, but only 33 so maybe too soon to write off. Will test Whyte's chin for sure.

 

ducker? he has fought for the world title and fought a dangerous opponent in chisora in under 20 fights! hes fought more dangerous opponents than the other two world champions combined in parker and wilder!!

 

The attraction of being a star fighter under Warren/BT is appealing but he will not get the big paydays under them.If Whyte leaves Matchroom he will be forgetten about and he can forget about Joshua,Chisora even Wilder.

 

If he does decide to leave matchroom he will join Saunderland as they will look to replace price

Im not a wilder fan but im sick of this bull**** wher if Hearn makes an 'offer' it has to be accepted or its a duck.

 

He doesn't have to accept it but on the flip side don't expect promoters to pay whatever is required to make a fight. The fight has to be profitable. What do you expect, Hearn to just overpay fighters and lose money on shows? That's what Al Haymon has done with PBC and guess what it didn't work.

 

People are critical of Wilder for not accepting because of his track record of avoiding the big fights, not because it's a "Hearn offer" as you put it.

It speaks volumes that Whyte would be Wilder's highest ranked opponent in an 8 year career...

 

I favor White, but Helenius should be motivated for this one, after quite some time.

Training with Joshua could put Helenius in a great condition to produce the upset.
