I remember seeing threads like GGG vs Mike Tyson and Sanchez saying GGG stops HWs in sparring :nonono
This ain’t no slight on GGG it was unrealistic for people to even exhalt his power to this level to begin with.

Now that GGG has moved up to fighting the elite where is this power his fan boys were talking about? GGG can crack for sure but when you get to world level those guys have tactics to neutralise your power and bring a certain threat that stops you from just loading up on every shot.

To be fair, only stupid people thought that and repeated it...Heavyweights wouldn't be troubled by any middle ever through history unless their chin is very very dodge, to the point they shouldn't be even sparring ! I'm a fan, take it how you want, but GGG is slower and less relentless than a few year ago. They say punch powers the last thing to fade, well timing and pulling the trigger really does effect that power

Anybody who thought it and really believed it are the same people who thought butterbean should be in the HOf as the best HW ever.

I agree with you the real fans knew better, just makes me laugh when I see how he can’t even severely hurt the top guys. The reason he isn’t pulling the trigger isn’t because he is old, if you put a Saunders in there GGG would blow him away, it’s because he is more wary of the other guys artillery.

Yes but I've seen a decline in GGG too. He's had a long boxing career and its coming to an end ! Disagree with Saunders with this stage GGG. Every fight's tough now.

I garuntee you if GGG fights Saunders he will stop him, Saunders has declined. The only fights that are tough for GGG are ones where the other guys have adequate power, counter punching ability or skill to keep them off him. Saunders has detoriated he didn’t impress against monroe.

You don't want to and physically can't load up as much as often when you are missing more.

You can't cut off the ring and get in ideal positions to fire power shots near as well against better boxers.

Tons of fighters have had 95% KO ratios deep into their career only to watch it plummet upon facing more top ranked boxers. See: Deontay Wilder in a few years (or... maybe not? haha, the step up in competition may never come).

    It happens. It's logical.

His KO streak was mighty impressive in totality. Just that several other elite fighters could have done the same against those same opponents and/or against the same quality skilled fighters. Donaire could have milked a long KO streak if at 118 he never unified or fought any of the top 5 guys (different with the smaller guys, but still). Everybody who criticized or downplayed his KO streak said that it would end once he started fighting top 5 guys or moved up in weight. They were right. But if it were so easy, we would see it more often.

Quit trying to make excuses that "Saunders has declined." He just was/is never all that very good, period.

I don't think he'd do very well at 175. People can fight weak people and look good and either be cold unbeatable or people who only fight bums. GGG first "big" win was vs lemieuex then who did he face. Kell Brook who moved up. Daniel Jacobs who many felt actualy won and it was a close fight I can't argue that. then Canelo who i felt he beat but it was close enough that a draw was fair.

Stevenson, Beterbiev, Kovalev etc would all kill GGG

I think theres an undercover bit of hating going on with you ! You can see Saunders has deteriorated but GGG still the same ?????hmmmmm...BJS showed improvement imo with his gas tank and his skills are there to see.
