Who are these " reporters "? The film clearly shows a punch landed, and many news reports said so as well.

The fact you can't see or admit that a punch landed only magnifies your lack of acumen as a boxing poster.

This thread is a joke. Vitali stopped many hard to stop opponents, and I already showed the readers his opponents quotes saying he hits harder than Foreman or as Hard as Tyson, and quickly bounced out a guy in two rounds that Lewis took the distance of 10.

Old age and injuries dulled Vitali's KO% a bit, but he's still way up there. He wasn't Joe Louis who lost his power his mid to late 30's.

And Jack Johnson, and many others who are in the hall of fame who quit with lesser injuries.

You the sad f()ck here. I will easily point out your poor analysis, blatantly double standards, affinity to diminish accomplished white heavyweights and laugh while other posters eat you for lunch!

I already told you Siler saw them both, and felt Peter Jackson was better. Plus he did in fact serve an official in at least one Jack Johnson battle royal. You can read book and learn..in theory.

If you have to ask for what's not out there on the web to prove your point, you are weaker than I thought.

No you stated categorically that Siler refereed them both more than once ,and he never did!
It's that simple, just admit you are wrong, not doing so changes a mistake into outright deliberate lying.
Siler never refereed a battle royal.
The onus is on you to provide proof of your statements and you won't because there is none!
Now if you continue to deny this I will continue to ask for the fights of Johnson and Jackson that Siler refereed?
Siler's full record as a third man is on Box Rec and I have posted it 3 times!
There is no way out of this for you but an admission you are wrong.
Go on, for once in your life, tell the truth!

Siler died before Johnson won the title in 1908 he never saw prime Johnson ,when I informed you of this you realized you had made a f*ck up but being you, you tried to lie your way out of it.
When that didn't wash you qualified and diluted your statement to Siler refereed Johnson in a battle royal Trouble is Siler never refereed Battle Royals and even if he had done how would that have been a fair assessment of his ability against Jackson's ?You quietly dropped your statement that Siler had refereed Peter Jackson more than once.
    Here it is.
"The authority figure here is George Siler, the referee for both of them on more than one occasion, a boxing author, and noted observer of the times."
Once again, which fights of their's did Siler referee?

Not that it really matters, but are you sure Mcvey isn't white himself? Is he the guy in the profile pic who looks like Colin McGinn, or the one who looks like Ossie Davis?
