Sonny Liston vs Marty Marshal - First fight

How fighters fared against other fighters is no guide to their power of punch. And anyone suggesting otherwise is a fool. You haven't answered my questions and you won't ,you will just circle around them like a fox around a trap.

 

I've answered your ludicrous question over and over. In my opinion Frazier was a better puncher/harder puncher than anyone Liston beat. Nothing wrong with that. It is not against Liston to say that. A prime Joe Frazier was much more dangerous than anyone Liston faced. This was a long standing view.

Frazier would have no trouble backing up anybody that Liston beat and knocking them out as Sonny also did.

so Frazier, in my opinion, is stronger in a boxing sense than the guys that Liston -and everyone else- knocked out.

Obviously I have not calibrated or strength tested those guys under a scientific situation and guess what? I don't have to!! It is my observation that Frazier was stronger than Dejohn and Valdez. Why the hell not?

 

Liston stated Williams was his equal in power but could not take it like he could.Do you think Frazier hit as hard as
Williams and Liston?

Ellis was retired on his tool between rounds, Mathis was on his feet at the time of the stoppage.In the manner he beat them Frazier was no more devastating than how Ali, no puncher defeated them .

 

No you haven't you dismissed the win over Patterson in an earlier post saying Floyd wasn't there.

 

Oh I see, Frazier beheads Ellis, an elite fighter at that time, he batters quarry, pole axes Mathis, decks Ali but this is all eclipsed by the film of Cleveland Williams fighting a blond cowboy...

In decking Ali Frazier did no more than Henry Cooper and Sonny Banks had done and he did it in the 15th rd not when Ali was fresh in both the other fights. Plus in 3 fights he only managed it once! He couldn't floor Bonavena in 2 fights Ellis did, Folley did,Ali ko'd him! Frazier has 8 knockout wins in 37 fights that is count -outs.Williamd has 44kos in 92 fights.Williams is an acknowledged all time puncher.

Based on what filmed win? Come on, let’s hear it. Name me the filmed knockout (against a guy not called Todd or Charlie) that best personified the all time punching of big cat Williams? I beg of you to do this. Let me learn from you. I want to lose this argument. I want to Lose the argument and win the truth.

Look, Williams was an okay kind of opponent. He’s interesting in some respects. But let’s not kid ourselves here. compared to Frazier’s wins Williams is up there with manuel Ramos. Zero impact in the grand scheme of things. He knocked out stiffs. Nobody that good.

Billy Daniels was his level.

Where’s the highlight reel of Williams best knockouts against guys that were not unranked part timers?

Frazier was better on so many levels. He knocked rated guys flat.
