Takam is a good deal better IMHO, Molina has beaten basically no one and is only rated for giving Wilder a tougher fight than expected.

Takam is good but seriously - he basically needs to immediately get on a plane, let alone a training camp for fighting Joshua. This is NOT going to be the best Takam for a fight with AJ unfortunately, though I suppose AJ is going to win either way.... but I'd have liked to have seen him come in peaking for it to see how much fight he could put up in the best instance.

Pulev looses his mandatory stop now according to Hearn...

Takem is decent as a replacement and is the next in line according to IBF so it’s a fair replacement I guess.

Obviously, everyone would rather see someone else but under the circumstances hearns done well to get that lined up.

Takam was gassing against Parker if I remember correctly. Whyte threw a lot punches in that Chisora war.

I would much rather Ortiz or Wilder but for short notice it’s beats a Helenius.

Check the punch stats. Parker vs Takam was a higher output fight the Chisora.

So what happens with Pulev now? Does he get his mando spot saved till he's fit and then can jump right back at the front of the queue?

And for me Takam is a dangerous and very solid opponent....definitely one customer AJ will have to be careful with. He looked pretty good in with Parker.

If this was WBC he would be elevated to Mandatory Emeritus.

Yes, he was, but to be fair he still managed to throw a ton.

It's a good short notice replacement, as others have pointed out Takam has the right style to cause AJ problems compared to Pulev.

He'll get KO'ed anyway but it'll be just as interesting as the Pulev fight IMHO.

I dont care what the punch stats say that Whyte vs Chisora fight was the most volume of punches I've seen a heavyweight fight in over a decade, 12 rounds of nonstop punching.

Nah bro I can't agree with that as much as I don't rate pulev he at brings a good accurate jab, takam is gunna be easy work for AJ because he is a straight forward come forward guy with no world level power. He is tough to though but wit this type of notice, once he feels the power he is gunna find a nice spot to go to sleep on in the ring.

That's good last minute replacement. I think Takam is better than Whyte or Chisora. He's a top-10 fighter.

He looked pretty good vs Povetkin and Parker. Takam is tough and has good skills.

Hopefully he was training seriously as 10 days aren't enough to prepare for AJ.
