He was more aggressive during that stage of his career but couldn`t land a glove on Roy Jones, the best KO of his career was the body shot he hit De La Hoya with but Oscar wasn`t a real middle.

Tyson and Benn had good hand speed but Mike had better combo`s making him hard to evade, if Benn had been trained by Rooney he would have been more dangerous, ironically Nigel met Tyson outside the ring and said in person Barkley was more intimidating than Tyson! Maybe it was his soft voice!

Hearns was more dangerous that`s why he knocked him out in 2 rounds.

Jones looked below par vs Tarver, I don`t think Roy would have achieved much even if he had avoided Tarver. Ironically Jones did more damage to Griffin because he didn`t do anything of note after that loss and Tarver couldn`t finish Griffin in 2 rounds like Roy did.

Roy didn't look below par in the rematch until he got knocked out. He looked very good until that point.

Griffin beat George Jones and Derrick Harmon right before he fought Tarver. Those were notable wins.

No doubt that a 34 year old Kovalev is probably better than a 34 year old Charles but pre-Baroudi I am sure Charles was much more dangerous than Kovalev. Kovalev had Ward in major trouble after the knockdown for a round or two and failed to capitalize on it. That's why I don't consider him that good of a finisher.

After Cuevas stood atop the heap for 4 years. Hearns, or no one I can recall for that matter, had the string of broken jaws and facial bones that Cuevas' victims had in that period. It was gruesome.

And if we are really going to play that game, Leonard was more dangerous than Hearns.

One thing I noticed. When Hearns fought guys somehow or another win or lose they were usually not the same after that especially the greats he fought Hagler or Leonard or Benitez or Duran and even Cuevas never were the same fighters. I could be wrong. Tyson tended to make guys decline also.

Worse defensively and weaker chin than Tyson.

Prime for prime pound for pound Tyson was better than Benn, by quite a margin.

Tyson in his prime didn't fight in a kamakazie fashion. Benn often did.

One thing is certain though, Benn was a hell of a lot more dangerous than Tyson when hurt and taken into deep waters.
