What prospect in your opinion got to big headed bought into his own hype needed a defeat to bring him back down to earth

For me its Mitchell Smith was a OK prospect but then really bought into his own hype and thought he was really above levels he had never fought at am all for a fighter been confident but he was to much and was over the moon when he got humbled by jupp

Luke Campbell, the loss against Mendy was a reality check and he did very well against linaries despite the fight coming a tad early for him

He's a good shout, I was really high on Smith a while ago. I still think he can get to a decent level but he's going to have to graft

Khan, but it didn't work because he became even more delusional lmao.

I think in recent years you have to say Campbell. Changed trainers, got out of Hull and look at the difference now. I wouldn't mind seeing the Mendy rematch before Campbell steps in at world level again.

mitchell smith was the first one to spring to mind for me ... he was starting to believe his own hype and believed he was already world level

Young Christopher Eubank Jr is another. Since his defeat he has not wasted the early rounds again in a fight and his output is high from the first bell to the end.

Mitchell Smith was the first to come to mind but im not so sure its given him a reality check. Ok he changed trainers but it was never down to the trainer in the first place.
I dont persanaly think hes going to do anything. He thinks that the move to booth was all he needed to do. He still doesnt live the life and he never gets anywhere near fw, which is where he should be. Hes very small

I really thought they would have gone for the Mendy rematch before going after Linares.

Guess Mendy is holding out for too much money.

Hopefully Connor Benn will be joining this list soon.

I don't know if its just me, but he comes across as a bit of a twat.

yeah especially eariler in his career. I think he has screwed the nut a bit however. I think the video of him mocking that guy hopefully humbled him a bit. I do think its in him to return back to those ways. He could do with someone as you says handing it too him ... maybe even in sparring

Harley Benn will take him out eventually, there is no love lost there and I believe Harley is the true fighter who has what it takes to dig in when the chips are down.

One fights at 140-147, the other at 168. I can’t see their paths crossing anytime soon.

2 Inch difference in height, no chance Harley stays anywhere near Super middleweight long term he comes down at least to 147 if he is to make an impression at domestic level first, last fight he weighed 162 while Conor was just inside 147, the weights are close and Harley would make 147 no probs

Harley does look a bit tubby for a 168, I agree he looks like he could drop to middleweight easy, maybe even 154. Conor though looks like a 140 all day long for me.
