I think Ryabinsky made a big offer. Interesting that likely it'll be:
    Povetkin - Hammer
    Kuzmin - Browne

... and not the other way around.

Not a great fan of Browne but he is more dangerous than Hammer IMHO

This really surprises me tbh. Kuzmin isn't ranked in any alphabets, and Browne has a history of turning down vaguely risky fights which won't make lots of money or get him a good ranking.

VERY interesting fight that I didn't see coming and interesting there isn't anything more official. Will see what happens - fair play to both if this goes down, I've been meaning to investigate Kuzmin further so now seems like a good time.

Browne wouldn’t take it if he thought he’d lose.

I got Browne winning by KO.

Hey guys, I just want to comment on a couple of things, to give a little bit of insight and set the record straight on a couple of things as Browne's manager. The reason we as a team turned down the Dillian Whyte fight is simply because we felt we were given insufficient time to prepare for it.

The money on offer was ok though not great, so quite simply, the risk versus reward wasn't there. If we were offered the fight earlier with a more reasonable purse, Browne v Whyte would be happening in 10 days time. One thing we won't do is throw him in there completely under-prepared for the sake of a pay day that quite frankly wasn't that great.

Lucas lives on the other side of the country from his trainer, to be with his kids. That means that while he's always ticking over, he still needs to relocate to Sydney to be with his trainer for a camp.

While that drama was playing out on social media, we already had this fight offer on the table. It's an offer that we believe is fair. There's still a couple of things to iron out, but I'm sure that'll be squared away soon.

In regards to a potential Parker fight, I've personally met with his promoter in the past, to discuss this fight while Lucas was in the mandatory position. He asked for a figure, we gave it and it couldn't be made. Fairly simple. Again, their media operations like to shout and scream in the NZ press about Lucas ducking him. We went to Chechnya to face Chagaev, going to Auckland doesn't seem that scary. Who knows, it might be on the cards again in the near future.

Anyway, all the best. This one should be a belter! Two big units who can whack! I'll try and post here more often, it's been a while.

Very happy to hear Kuzmin is finally stepping up.

I had respect for Kuzmin's abilities and potential, but he seemed perfectly content to never progress at all.

    So this is great.

Not sure how it will go. Browne really isn't that good (I'm sorry to say, as he seems like such a nice guy), but it's still a huge step up for Kuzmin.

A good fight for Kuzmin, Browne probably the strongest of all his opponents.

Kuzmin is getting sonned by the BIG DADDY.

He ships big shots for breakfast and dishes em out like dollars at a strip club.

He is in the WBC rank at 26 but not in top 15 in any organisation.

WBC cut off the WBC Eurasia title, so he doesn't have the chance to defend his title.

Free free to support your claim by listing all these fights you claim Browne knocked back. Away you go...

I laughed at it myself. It really seems to be the case who screams to the media loudest gets believed the most in boxing. Haumono was a prime example. We were vaguely linked whilst Browne was Commonwealth champion but the money on offer was horrendous. Therefore Browne ducked him. :D

WBA Inter-Conti, a belt Lucas has already held, but should get a high rankings for the winner inside the WBA. With both WBC ranked, I'm sure the winner will advance there too.
