Browne is so open to the shots that I can't see how he will survive this unscattered. He will be like a pink pulp in the best scenario. Kuzmin hits hard and Browne has no defence.

It sounds like it's very common for whyte opponents to be given a short camp, Lewison this offer to Browne.

Let's hope so. I'd happily see that dope removed from the title picture.

Just think Kuzmin wins and he's already got a better win on his resume than Wilder.

I don't have the time to go all over the internet to prove something which I thought was obvious, it's happened numerous times over the years I've been following him. He has done a heap of calling out of everyone, saying he's not worried about money or politics and wants to fight people - but then as soon as it starts looking like a possibility it could happen he says either money or worth of the fight are too low.

Here are some that were easy to find but are not the only times it's happened where Browne and his team themselves have directly said it (as he has previously said that it's other teams or the media saying he said no now that some of these fights DO appeal to him):

Browne is definitely a top 3 ATG boxing Lucas

    Lucas Matthysse
    Eric Lucas
    Lucas Browne

And Kuzmin could possibly go down as one of the greatest ever boxing Sergey's when all is said and done.

I suppose you think Parker and AJ are the same considering Wilder has been calling them out on Twitter???

Really these articles do nothing for your "statement", for starters every man and his dog called him out after wining the title and rightly so he told them all to **** off because he was going to bigger things.

Nothing wrong with that and if you think being given a short training camp against Whyte when he still has ambitions of becoming champ is "ducking" then I would stick to other things because commenting on boxing forums isn't for you..

p.s. its irrelevant if you think he is any good or not the fact is he and he team do so they are going to act accordingly..

Except that Parker had been calling him out since 2014 with the same response.

Read my previous, I met with his promoter. Lucas was highly ranked and Parker wasn’t. It’s a business, his promoter isn’t going to throw him in for pennies after investing in him.

True. Have always thought of the confines of a boxing ring as a place where there is only truth. Sadly it ends at the ropes.

You will soon get frustrated here trying to educate people who simply do not understand the machinations of professional boxing.

Absolutely, and that's pretty much what I was saying. Parker was ranked and calling out Browne before Browne got the WBA title and it was turned down, Kuzmin isn't ranked. I'm guessing there must be a lot of money involved - what I've said hasn't been contradicted at all.

To be fair, every half decent boxer must have a “history of turning down vaguely risky fights” then. Parker called us out when we were sitting in the top 5 of the WBC and right at the point end of the WBA. Their offer wasn’t enough and didn’t come close to ours or what Chagaev turned out to be.

It’s all good, it’s boxing. What irked me at the time was Parker’s team then trying to grab media attention off the back of it. Some choose to play things out on social media and others dont. Regardless, water under the bridge and talks have happened since.

Absolutely, as well - I guess the only reason I felt compelled to mention it is that Browne has made a lot of pretty firey social media posts over the last couple of years or so implying no one wants to fight him and that he'd fight anyone, yet there have been call outs from the likes of Haumono and Parker who big name or not... were ranked, and even "LETS GO CHAMP" was down for some action who realistically had a top 5 ranking for whatever reason.

Anyway, I probably should have bit my lip - I actually was meaning it positively one way or another, this is a risky fight for both guys and as I suggested in another post today... it's GREAT seeing so many guys in the top 30 all facing each other in the next couple of months, and in talks for more fights in the new year.

Good times, keep up the great match making - those of you who are :)

No problems at all mate and I’m all for talking boxing. Lucas would fight his own shadow if he got the chance. All of these guys would, or nearly all of them. I guess it’s my job to make sure he’s compensated adequately for it so he’s got something to show for it in later years.

Leapai will be the next. He’s already calling out Lucas. It’s part of the game, but why would we fight him for a Mars bar and a can of Coke when there’s other great fights out there. Risk v reward. This will be a belter of a fight and like a I said a few pages back, our team are happy with the deal.

Once you go to Grozny, you kinda don’t mind going to other places :D
