The isnt 50 M for cruiserweights.
    Far from it.
WBSS is promoted by Sauerland and Richard Schaeffer. They rent the fighters so to say.

Do you see Hearn sharing the piece of the pie with Kalle ? Lol

    AJ wont participate

It they do it at HW it will be Ortiz, Hammer maybe Povetkin....fighrers that arent gooses with golden eggs

As a multi belt holding champ he won't want to get stripped for not fighting some Glazkov type of opponent whilst fighting in a tourney. The WBA and IBF would have to suspend mandos for the tournaments length for him to be able to join.

Or fights the qf opponent and then pulls out with an "injury".

What would you rather do? Enter this tourney? Or Enter the AJ sweepstakes tourney?
AJ money will change your life.

They did just that for the WBSS cruiser tourney, I don't think that's the problem - the problem is whether the WBSS can offer Joshua and Hearn enough money to make it worthwhile.

My prediction is that Wilder joins but Joshua doesn't, Wilder clearly is after $$$ and if the tournament has enough of it he'll be in.

He might get involved in the tournament, but pull out with an 'injury' if the opponent is deemed to be too risky.

You don't think the WBSS would be willing to let Hearn take sole responsibility for promoting any Joshua fights in the competition? I think they'd happily concede that as they don't really have to risk anything by letting Joshua in.

Yeah that could be a possibility ... I just wonder how it works with the finances. Can the WBSS fights provide more money for Joshua than his own selection of opponents on Sky Sports ppv? Also, what about Joshua's Sky deal and the WBSS' ITV deal? Since Joshua/Hearn will definitely want to fight on Sky, that basically means that the WBSS will have to negotiate a deal with Sky. It's very complicated.

    WBSS at heavy wouldn't work.

Half of the contestants will test positive and get all the fights canceled.

But really, I love the wbss and hope it continues.

I was wrong, 50$ mil is for both 168 and 200.
I think heavyweight wbss will warrant a much bigger purse.

The ITV covers the current Super Middleweight and Cruiserweight tournaments. There is nothing to suggest that Sky can't do a deal with WBSS for future tournaments.
