AJ fought and beat a legend, and two other fighters in the current top ten both of them undefeated prospects.

Wilder has a win against Stiverne who nobody highly rates, and does not even rank in the current top ten.

Big difference. Wilder's WBC belt is garbage until he has a good win on his resume.

LMFAO at Wilder is fighting either a AJ or Parker

Wilder is staying in the USA fighting bums until he loses or retires.

Sorry to d*** you all, but that is Wilder.

I'm probably best not responding to the 'two best punchers in the sport' line, but yeah come fight night of course I'll be hyped for it, but right now it feels a bit underwhelming. It won't be as big as AJ Wlad was, and it wouldn't be anywhere near as big as Fury vs AJ. Plenty of casual fans have asked me about AJ vs Fury, the sort of people who haven't heard of Wilder. And they haven't heard of him for good reason.

Wilder knocking out Whyte first would add loads to the fight. Just like Wilder knocking out Povetkin or Ortiz would have done. I don't know it just doesn't feel like there's any momentum with Wilder. Doesn't feel like there's any more reason for Joshua to fight him than fight Parker.

This. Hearn couldn't wait to hand $8 Million to Martin, who didn't need to go through Whyte. Hearn insisting on Wilder fighting Whyte is just a poor attempt at buying more time for Joshua, since he needs more ring time before fighting Wilder. It's obvious Hearn wants to get Joshua another year or two worth of fights before risking him in the ring against Wilder.

I'd be shocked if Wilder takes a fight with Whyte especially in London, Wilder's only real bargaining tool in a fight with AJ is his belt and if he fights DW there's a very real chance he loses it.

you make it sound like Joshua is afraid of Wilder...like c'mon dude...if Joshua had the cajones to get in the ring with Klitschko, I don't think Joshua is gonna any sleep over signing a fight contract to fight Wilder.

Agreed. which is why Wilder saying things like "the Whyte fight doesnt do anything for his legacy". is straight up b.s.
and as if Wilder was going through a murderer's row of opponents and only cares about fighting legacy fights ...please....

Makes sense. Wilder should have to fight a live body before he fights for the real title

Wilder wants a fight with AJ straight up without earning it.

It's shocking really that Wilder is a world champion and rated by many as the No.2 Heavyweight even though he has yet to beat a top 10 HW.

It would be a great fight for Wilder on the proviso he has the same judges he did against Spilzka. Otherwise he does risk losing his belt.

How much help does Wilder need?

Hearn is offering the guy a huge opportunity. Take it you moron.

I understand the logic that Parker and Wilder don't want to fight each other, as AJ is the money fight for both.....and should either lose, they will not get a shot at AJ.

Cmon Deontay, Eddie has given you first refusal at AJ, don't embarrass yourself son.

Parker already tried to make a fight with Wilder. Wilder called Parker out after Joshua beat Wlad. Parker's promoter reached out to Wilder's team and then we heard nothing. Suffice to say either Parker and his team went into hiding when Parker showed interest or the financial reality of the fight dawned on the both of them, neither are a big enough draw to bring the kind of money required for a unification fight to happen.

So Wilder attempting to unify against anyone other than Joshua is simply not going to happen.

i think its a win-win for him.. dont think he has horse in race. If anything I;d say Wilder will sell more tickets as it's the "US's best HW" ie. old world/new world rivalry
