I was listening to a Haye interview that he did with Talksport and he sounded very enthusiastic about his promoting venture. I for one hope he makes a success of it, he definitely knows the game more than most.

Fight should have been stopped in the 6th or 7th when Bellew emptied the kitchen sink on him. Any other fight and the ref would have stopped it or the corner would have thrown the towel in. You shouldn’t have to put someone to sleep to end a fight. Sense has got to prevail somewhere. Nobody had the bottle to end it for the co-promoter though.

No matter what you say, Bellew called it by saying his body would break down and it happened. He couldn’t knock Bellew out and the strain of the fight took its inevitable strain on Haye’s body.

The facts are, you don’t come back to what you was with a ruptured achilles. You don’t come back to what you was with a shoulder reconstruction either and that showed.

Listen,i dislike Bellew, but you have to give the lad credit,he knew Haye has changed for the worse ever since 2013,and that's why he wanted to fight him.He fought Haye because he knew he wasnt the force he once was,he is not stupid,When Haye was at his prime, look at what Bellew used to say about him,he used to arselick Haye in the same way he does know with Joshua.Did you see at the end of the AJ Fight,Tony waltzed in going mental, kissing AJ on the forehead,it looked cringe and embrassing. But Bellew deserves credit,he knew what was going to happen, which was he knew Haye was a 'Broken Man' he was right.I see the same outcome in the second fight, maybe a little earlier,Haye will have a niggle of some sort, and Bellew will take full advantage.Everyone gets their pay packet,Haye will get the respect he always wanted for being a warrior, and Bellew Will be happy to beat,as he says'the best cruiserweight Britain has ever produced'.Both retire after,End of story,a couple of years down the line, you will see them doing punditry together for Sky all happy for securing eachother's future. They laugh it off,and explain one day why it was so easy to fleece the public with a Joke fight which had no impact on the world scene and was just two domestic level fighters, from different weight classes fighting on PPV.

Haye being Haye, if he started to gain weight as a promoter I don't doubt he'd soon be knocking out PPVs left right and centre aswell

Of course, but then I expect both you and I would too if it meant earning more money.

Haye is using Dave to gain exposure/popularity, not out of the kindness of his heart. Make no mistake, he will soon move his fighters onto PPV if they get to a decent level. He knows where the money is.

    Haters gonna hate...

Of course it isn’t some act of kindness but it’s great that we’ll have 3 years of free to air boxing!

id charge for fights that are worth charging for

Haye would probably charge for this if he could

Money is what were all after, but you've got to be sensible , I wouldn't try charge people for a jank card

At least Dave have made a commitment for three years. I doubt any PPVs get put on before Joyce is at a decent level and even then I'd have my doubts as the channel has no PPV facility.

Nice mate, I was tempted but I've already paid for a gig this Monday at O2 and don't think I can justify spending so much money on two shows in three days.

I absolutely agree. He didn’t have to do that at all. Fair play to him

People saying it's not a big deal because the fighters are not PPV worthy at the moment anyway - you're missing the point. This could easily be on a subscription sports channel. It's not and anyone with a telly watches for free.

Are people really complaining about this? Win-win for us all isnt it? Decent card and relatively tough matching for the house fighters. Friday night and on terrestrial. Casuals will be happy too. Will build profiles far quicker than if they were hidden away on SKY or BT PPV undercards
