    I was impressed tbh.

I think more would be if he was 22 instead of 32 tbh.

Sexton fight isn't likely to happen before the years end(if at all) Foot should be taken off the gas a bit and someone like Kamil Sokolowski(tough journeyman who can go rounds as well as ask some questions) for Nov-Dec would be a smart move.

so if he's being fast tracked, when can we expect this guy to fight for a title eliminator, at least? in 2 years?

That looks to be the goal.... Assuming everything goes to plan. They're probably looking to follow the route Joshua took - maybe a little quicker even.

Potential? YES. Could certainly see him reaching world title level... But considering his flaws it wouldn't shock me at all if a scenario like Price/Thompson I occurred along the way.

It's a shame Tony Thompson didn't take up the sport a little younger. Guy is a legend.

lol Joyce takes a big risk by fighting Lewison in his pro debut, a Lewison who had plenty of notice and got a 10 or 11 week camp for the fight, and he stops him quicker than Dillian Whyte who fought Lewison in his 20th fight and only gave him a few weeks notice. Lewison's a very durable guy and Joyce handled him better in his pro debut than Whyte did in his 20th pro fight. Yes Joyce is flawed but he was in against a very tough opponent for a pro debut.

That said, I think he is definitely better suited to the ams than the pros and I can't see him replicating the same kind of success he had in the pros that he did in them.

    Looks pretty good to me.

    Big, strong, good athlete.

Sound fundamentals, good jab & obviously well conditioned.

    Can be a contender.

Is already more entertaining to watch than Hughie "Big Cat" Fury.

Honourable mention to his opponent who showed plenty of grit throughout despite being in obvious distress.

I don't get the bashing of joyce on here... like seriously none of you could do any better lol.. does he have flaws? yes sure .. but that's a very good debut fight impressive performance.. will he ever win a world title? maybe not.. but he has the engine.. that will wear down/crush the heart of a lot of fighters... and if he has a above average chin on him.. that workrate could seriously carry him to world level.i mean look at our current world champions.. I seriously think joyce could hang with parker and wilder already... and I am a huge parker fan hes my favorite fighter . Joshua probably not be able to hang with him yet I think Joshua is just a level above any current hw right now.. but joyce will be fun to watch.. put him in with nick webb or Nathan Gorman.. there 3 undefeated prospects lets find out which one has the best potential to go to world level.

Looks like Joyce was fighting with a left hand injury in there. It just didn't seem right how he was throwing it. It was an impressive debut.

I had to laugh when watching the fight.

After 2 rounds i thought to myself, damn this guy has better boxing fundamentals than Wilder ffs.

    Thought he looked good though.

He's just taken out a well respected domestic opponent, who went the distance in his last fight for the British title, in the best shape he's been (admittedly still way out of shape).

Those who are disappointed, clearly expected some kind of AJ 2.0, which he isn't.

He does kinda look slow, but he looks very heavy handed as well.

Decent jab, but the most impressive thing was his engine and movement.
