"A chance"? Sure. But he looked other-wordly against Tate. You'd need an ATG type to catch him in that type of form. Hopkins and Golovkin are the guys in that argument since Roy left the division. Golovkin is the one with the better chance on styles I think (though I'd pick Hopkins to beat Golovkin) but there's no money going down on GGG against Roy for me. No way.

After taking an early barrage and being behind on the cards Golovkin would have a chance at catching RJJ with a good combination. Golovkin proved that even at 35 he can go a hard 12 rounds while taking punishment. I can't see RJJ not fading late in that fight. My money would be on RJJ UD though.

Its a tall order. Thing is, Roys not as chinny in his youth than he was in his later years. He had the reflex's but he still took great shots in fights with out a problem from the best at middle..I think hes everyones kryptonite at 160lb..He was pumped to the gills though i'm sure too !

Pretty hard to pick against Roy in these one off H2H matchups where you pit the two best incarnations of a fighter against each other.
But if you parachuted him into some eras where he has prove himself over an era fighting the better fighters more than once. He is is gonna pick up a loss for sure.

Lol GGG would end Jones Career if that were the case. Knock him out worse than Tarver did.

GGG is a much higher standard of fighter than Tarver was.

GGG had trouble with Canelos speed and combinations and Canelo is mollassas compared to Prime Roy. The GGG that fought Canelo gets stopped by Prime Roy.

Because RJJ is a bit faster he magically stops GGG? Canelo's speed was miles better than GGGs and he couldn't even make GGG blink. RJJ takes most of the rounds. That's what I'm going to give him. Golovkin has taken too many flush shots from too many big punchers for me to think anyone has a good shot at stopping him.
