I always wondered how Marvis beat Smith with his style? I haven't seen the fight, is it on Youtube? It seemed that Smith would have pulled a "Foreman" on Marvis.

That's what I would have expected going in. Smith was a flawed fighter (much like Bruno) but his nickname was well chosen.

Taking the cruiserweigth division, is an admission of weakness, among all time greats!

I have heard that argument before that some smaller guys would do better at cruiser. I still think he lacked something which is why his career was sort of spotty. He outboxed Bonecrusher on a live TV fight in I think 1985 or 1986. He was good, he just didn't have that championship heart.

He had heart. He lacked HW size and a chin.

Yeah. Even at 210 pounds, which he was vs Tyson, his body looked "soft" as it were. Holyfield at 187-190 looked more solid than a 210 pound Fraizer. Maybe Marvis could have eventually moved up to HW, but should have gained experience and made his name at cruiser first.

He did have that Fraizer heart, though. He didn't appear to fear Tyson at all from his body language, although you never know what's going on inside someone's head.
