Alvarez was held to his second lowest connect percentage in his fight with GGG....the only man who gave Alvarez more trouble finding his target is the man who is arguably one of the top defensive boxers to ever lace up a pair of boxing gloves. It's a testament to both Alvarez and Golovkin's defensive abilities with connect percentages calculated at 31% and 33% respectively
How many people are in the world bro.. I don't give a **** about how many pro boxers or people on a boxing forum say GGG won. At the end of the day, in the real world there's a he'll of a lot of people who think Canelo won that fight and it will continue to rise by every rewatch in the future.
We're not talking about Canelo, were talking about GGG and supposedly Canelo not being able to trouble him despite landing at his lowest connect %. Canelo was the underdog did you forget that?
I think the mistake many are making in scoring this fight is that they're counting attempts when they should be scoring connects. On top of that the effectiveness of the connects should be weighed, which many who scored for Golovkin are failing or simply refuse to do.
Exactly, I can't score the fight in GGG'S favor because he was coming foward.. Canelo landed the harder shots, and countered beautifully... That has to be taken into account.
Relax. You got your heart rate way up for no reason. It's obvious you don't care and I'm sure there are a slew of people who thought Alvarez won. There were "a lot" of fans who thought Holyfield beat Lewis too....and DLH beat Floyd. More and more fans who watch those fights feel the same way. Oh....to answer your question...there's roughly around 7 billion+ people worldwide.
My bad. I thought we were on a forum that promotes open discussion? I seem to be off kilter a bit? I'm good now
There's always an underdog but the odds suggested a pretty even match up. GGG-160 / Alvarez+130. I've seen much wider margins between boxers in the past.
I don't get it. They're the two best MW's in the world and both on the p4p list. The first fight was a draw and you don't wanna see a rematch? Comon man.
Golovkin is the champion, its up to Canelo to make the fight. Instead, he was on his bicycle all night and ate a bunch of punches. /story.
I thought it was a great fight and would gladly see #2. Despite all the arguing on here the fighters are well matched and if either has an off night the other could win. Of course I'm favouring Golovkin but you'd be a fool to write off Canelo. If he can solve his gassing problem the dude would be a beast.
