In the age of modern technology and all that, is it crazy to suggest that we now only need 2 human judges and one 'computer' judge?
The human judges can judge on clean punches, defence, who's controlling the pace and intensity, aggressiveness etc. But the computer judge can score purely on scoring punches.

Probably a daft suggestion but there you go.

 

Compubox is scored by people mate. It's cleverly named pseudo technology IMO really.

We need Artificial intelligence doing it then...like IRobot or Robocop or C3PO. That would be a cool set of judges.

 

No worries. I think the vast majority of people seem think it's a computer doing the scoring. The name is incredibly misleading.

The Solis robbery was as blatant as the Obadai Sai robbery vs Cox.
Sai never got the rematch either, even after plenty of talk that he would get a rematch. But maybe that was down to Cox not fighting for near on 2yr though..but still, it should of been right.
The juges that night were.. Marcu Mcdonell, Richard Davies and Ian J Lewis.

Haha sorry mate but I did laugh at that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it was still three judges that scored the contest - the computer aspect was that they all had basically a button for each fighter in front of them and if 2 out of the 3 judges pressed it for either fighter landing a clean shot, then it was recorded. Sure that's how it worked anyway.

 

Why is he not being reported to the governing body ? Called to account and taken to task on his decision ?

There quick enough to pull fighters licences but judges just do as they please, its a bit like diving footballers and steroid users , bring in proper financial punishments and ban them from ever judging again ! Judges should be ex pro fighters, you should need a minimum of 12 professional fights to qualify to be a judge, then you should be sent on course to learn more about scoring fights, with a strict test at the end with three fights to score live and your scoring is checked and if found acceptable you move on to start judgeing at lower level working your way up a tier system based on performance from regional titles to world level fights, you are employed by the british board boxing control.

If you are found to be doing dodgy scoring you are put in the stocks and people throw rotten veg, hot Bovril and gravel on you !


Is it a case that someone slips him a few grand in cash to get the result ?

 

An absolute disgrace mate and another judge that scored his card before the fight started.
