Yeah once Whyte beats Helenius for the Silver title and Wilder beats Stiverne it's pretty clear Whyte will be Wilder's mandatory. Hearn has covered his bases here.

No way Wilder can match Hearn in the purse bids for a mandatory with Whyte. So he'll either be offered less for Whyte than he was before for a fight in the UK or be forced into a situation where he has to unify with AJ and take less than he would of preferred, which is why he wants AJ to pick up Parkers title first meaning Wilder only has one option for unification to avoid his mandatory.

You can see why Hearn is delaying the Wilder fight now. He'll he'll have more leverage later on. He either gets Wilder to fight Whyte for less than he offered before or gets Joshua/Wilder but can offer Wilder a lot less because its either fight AJ or fight Whyte and even if Wilder fights Whyte and beats him, it just makes Joshua/Wilder a bigger fight and more lucrative.

Imo, Joshua could carry on just fine without Wilder and continue fighting whoever; and filling up stadiums in the UK while Wilder will continue to languish in 'Bama, rarely cracking 10k at best. At some point, a dangerous fighter will move up the WBC ranks, become Wilder's mandatory and what's gonna Wilder do? Hope he pops dirty and cry foul on Instagram.."nobody wants to fight me!". It can only work for so long, Mr. Bronze Bomber.

And the only reason Wilder would accept not fighting Joshua right now and near future is because the WBC ranks is full of bums atm and once dangerous fighters come up the ranks and become his mando, he's gonna be pushing hard for an unification fight. Better to lose to Joshua and get paid well then lose to a nobody and get paid for peanuts.

Edwardo has set a trap and Wilder is walking straight into it. Watch as Wilder ditches the WBC belt.

    Excellent post!
You touched on some great points and more importantly, on Eddie Hearn's strategy. Hearn has been pretty clever in this game of tit for tat with Wilder and by the looks of it, Hearn seems to be several steps ahead of Wilder & everyone else; and at some point, Wilder is gonna realize, he's screwed and got played by Hearn. So far Hearn is playing his cards right while Wilder hasn't.

The more and more I see Hearn's clever tactics, the more I respect him. To me, he's more than just a promoter. He's like a tactician in this boxing game.

So delusional. I've yet to see Wilder sell any tickets. In fact, sad to say, more people here in America probably know who Joshua is than know who Wilder is. Maybe a rematch with Dustin Nichols is more in order for Wilder:ciao:

Lol, he won't dump the belt. You can tell he loves being a champion even if 90% of America don't know who he is.

but you can be damn sure, he'll try to get the WBC/Al Haymon to hardcore test the **** out of Whyte, in hopes of him popping. Cuz he don't want that work. and then he'll go on Instagram in tears (like he did with Ortiz) and say nobody wants to fight me. lol

    I think 60/40 is fair.

AJ Wilder would be PPV in USA. So Wilder brings a lot to the table (even though AJ is the star out the 2)

British fight fans (and a shed load of casuals ) would stay up and purchase the Sky PPV anyway

That's wishful thinking on your part. Wilder in the US as a draw is on a similar level as Ward and his PPV with Kovalev bombed. Joshua is a huge star but still unknown in the US. I mean Wlad is more recognisable name due to his long reign and was never a draw in the US. With the networks being more careful in regards to spending on boxing it would be a big turnaround for them to throw cash at 2 unproven PPV fighters.

If there was any chance of US ppv money then I think Hearn would of proposed the fight in he US but he hasn't. He's likely already approached the networks in the US and interest was low. He's been wanting to showcase Joshua in the US for a while now. If there was any chance of Joshua/Wilder in US I think he would of suggested it but he's been adamant that it's happening in the UK.

Hearn screwed up big paying Martin $8.5 million. Wilder would be an idiot to immediately accept anything less than 50/50. A lot can happen in the next year or two and Wilder isn't desperate like GGG was. Pac simply waited out Mayweather until showtime made Mayweather take the fight.

Knowing Hearn he'll most likely lowball Wilder so he can continue AJ's development with more fights and even get Parker's title. But, for now AJ is still too green for Hearn to risk him against Wilder. If AJ can really earn $20 million fighting guys like Takam Hearn and Joshua should milk that gravy train for as long as it lasts.

So Wilder will turn down $10m if it’s less than 50%?

Exactly,The only Network which can get this fight in the US,is Showtime, they are the ones who must've said "Not ppv here".UK,Wembley it would be amazing, atmosphere, nothing like the boring US where they will be more interested in filling their mouths than watching.Whatever you say about British Boxing Casuals, they at least sing and support rather than their American Counterparts. With the build up,as i believe people do underrate Wilder's build up antics,i'm sure he will help in that sense and it will be guranteed to smash Sky Box Office records, given it's at prime time. But when this happens in 2018,unless something controversial happens, and their is AJ/Wilder 2,i really dont look forward to the other opponents.People who are slagging Wilder off,i wouldnt blame you,by the way,it would be a much poor and even less entertaining division if he wasn't their,at least AJ has a dance partner.Wilder being American helps massively aswell.Really looking forward to this, matter of when and not if,both at their peak,it should be good.
