Spot on. Either Wilder beats Whyte, becomes more exposed to the British public making it far easier to promote Joshua-Wilder and therefore considerably more money is made, or Whyte beats Wilder, meaning that Joshua-Whyte can be sold as a unification fight and also a rematch between two British fighters, resulting in more money being made there.

Either way, Hearn has done this properly and this is a win-win situation for him.

I bet you that slippery ****er will find a way to get out of Hearn's Setup. This is a guy who has links to Al Haymon,WBC,i'm telling if you Wilder dosent want to fight Whyte,it comes from his management,Whyte aint getting none of Wilder's Windmill unfortunately.

Any reason why Wilder wants the fight in the US? Besides hometown advantage of course.

Yup, Whyte can win as many eliminators as he likes. He isn't becoming Wilder's mandatory, ever.

This is the WBC we're talking about.

Demanding more than he is worth is wilders way of avoiding this fight; a fight he don’t want anyway

To him, this saves his “Im the best willing and am to fight anyone” self image

Most boxing fans see through it, though

"The heavyweight scene is in the UK right now" - Joseph Parker.

    This year we've got/had -

    AJ vs Klit
    Fury vs Parker
    AJ vs Pulev (Now Takam)
    Bellew vs Haye

There's just no justification to hold the fight in the US.

Looks like Parker is also sniffing around the winner of Bellew vs Haye.

Makes sense, especially if Bellew wins again. Perfect fight to earn a career high pay day, raise Parker's profile in the UK before a fight with AJ and earning him a decent 60-40 split in the process.

Parker's going to be far easier to negotiate with. Wilder needs to be left in his sandpit if he's not willing to play ball.

Whyte has gyno, as well as looking stacked. I think he would fail the VADA drug test.

I am not hating on Whyte, and I would love to see the fight, but I honestly see him failing the drug test.

Even if he was clean as a whistle some residue of a mildly performance enhancing substance he once took five years ago would magically show up in his urine and scupper the proceedings precisely one month before the fight. Stiverne steps in for fight number three.

Quite correct. A 50/50 split is ridiculous, Wilder must be smoking the same stuff as Charles Martin.

i wouldnt worry about any main entree being served or even prepared bc that fight wont see 12 rnds.

No home cooking in this one. Joshua's safe any where he fights Wilder who is the only thing getting cooked in this one..:flaming:

He probably sold the stuff to Martin in the first place.

Martin didn't have to defend against Joshua so they made him a ridiculous offer he couldn't refuse to sell his title for. Joshua was merely a contender then and they needed that belt to sell him as the next big thing. Now he's a unified champion who took out the legendary Wlad in a FOTY candidate who nobody has managed to even go the distance with. He's a huge draw, exciting to watch and most people's number 1 fighter. Wilder however is a relative unknown and those who do know him usually see him as a coddled can crusher looking to take the path of least resistance wherever he can.

He is the "A" side in Alabama. Have it in Birmingham and he gets 51/49. In front of
80,000 Brits in Wembley.....60/40 in Joshua's favor is fair. Wilder DOES have a belt
or belts. Joshua just beat up a 40 year old man for his belt. There's no getting around
it....Joshua needs Wilder more than the reverse and I truly believe that statement.
Wilder can fight zombies, corpses and taxi drivers the rest of his life and his legacy is
no better or worse. Joshua beats the US HW champ and gains instant worldwide
credibility. That's just the way it is.

    Yes.

Neither one of them is what you would call a big drawing heavyweight, but Joshua is EASILY head and shoulders above Wilder as far as public notoriety

Wilder is still largely an unknown to The general boxing public, but Joshua has now established himself as “THE man to beat” when he dramatically defeated King Wlad in such a mega, high profile fight that had an immense audience

Meanwhile Wilder is blowing his own horn as if he’s the next mega-name like Tyson or Ali, but no one knows any of his opponents, almost FORTY fights into his career. It’s well, laughable. It’s comedy gold
