Does anyone at 160 today stand a chance against a prime Roy Jones jr?

    And??

Does that mean he'd have had the same opportunity that Tarver had?

Tarver taking Roy out at LHW when he was 35, after having had 50 fights, does not mean that GG could have replicated that against a peak version of Roy at MW.

And it doesn’t mean he couldn’t have either.

Man, you are so far out of your depth on every topic that you post on, I actually feel bad for you when I read your comments.

Seriously, it's cringeworthy watching you scurry around trying to look knowledgeable, even though you haven't got a Scooby what's going on.

You have no understanding of anything.

You need some time away from the board.

    Go and watch some fights.

Roy had phenomenal speed and one punch knockout power in either hand.

Comparing him to Canelo, is like comparing a fast car to a Lamborghini.

    Sure, but why shouldn't he?

He had the exact same attributes at SMW than what he had at MW.

He fought Toney the same year he knocked out Tate in 2 rounds.

He knocked out Tate after he'd taken out Malinga.

I get your point, but he was only about 4 pounds heavier against Toney.

It doesn't matter that he 'only' beat Tate and Hopkins.

It doesn't matter where Tate and Bernard were rated at the time. That's just circumstances. We know that Tate was decent and he went 12 with Jackson. We that Roy had a fractured hand against Bernard, but he beat him relatively easy, and Bernard went unbeaten for over a decade. Those 2 fights and the ones at SMW are all the evidence that we need. Also, Tate and Bernard would obviously have been rated in today's top 10.

It's GG who gets undue credit. And I say that as a big fan. As great as he is, he scraped past Jacobs, he was in a competetive fight with Canelo, he's easy to hit, yet you've got guys here who'd have favoured him over Roy at 25.

You’ve been absolutely massacred on here by a number of posters including myself and you want to talk about “Cringeworthy” :D You are ****ing entertainment for most on here and have proven to only be a troll lookin for a little negative attention. Lol That’s it! That’s why I take your posts with a grain of salt and DON’T put any stock in them.

But I want to rile your reject ass up and watch you squirm again so... Who did Roy Jones face with the power AND skills of GGG at 160?? You seem to get awfully amped up by people’s opinions thinking Gennady could beat him... So explain why that’s such an ABSURD opinion.

Of course it was vastly quicker.

And Canelo didn't have the power or speed that Roy possessed.

    Jack Dempsey?

    Michael Spinks?

    Ha!

    He started out at JMW.

GG would also have had significant weight on Marvin.

Marvin used to weigh 157 in the days of same day weigh-ins.

LOL A prime Roy would duck GGG like he did Darius M & a rematch with B Hop. He'd never have passed VADA amyway

    Ha!

    You hate Andre Ward.

So much so, that you posted videos of him supposedly looking shook against Sergey.

    Hilarious.

Tell us again how Joe would have mutilated him.

Who has GG ever fought on Roy's level?

    Nobody!

GG scraped by Danny Jacobs, but he'd have taken out Roy at 25?

    Sure.

He could have done no doubt.

I'm only arguing against the notion that it would have been a given based on Tarver doing it.

    That's ignorant thinking.
