Straight up of course. If it were p4p then Provodnikov would be #2 behind Golovkin.

    Gassiev looking great of late.

Ah yes, a Provodnikov shout out. Haven't heard that name in a while. Remember when he was a deadly historic ATG fighting force?

There was a period there where everybody and their mother got accused of ducking him. Shane Mosley, Amir Khan, Juan Manuel Márquez and Danny García all simultaneously, IIRC.

...and I'm sitting there scratching my head going, the guy that labored to put away shot Augustus on FNF? And later went life and death with Herrera (regardless of what anyone thought of the scoring)? This guy is suddenly the new Pipino Cuevas skull-crushing bogeyman, just because Tim Bradley stupidly decided to make a statement to regain some macho street cred post-Pacman I by electing to brawl with him? And/or because he then caught Alvarado post- Rios I & II? For reals?

Like, don't get me wrong, I liked Ruslan and everything...but he was never really special. He was fringe world class, at best.

    My thoughts exactly.

But if you based your opinion on this forum, you'd think there were maybe, maybe two or three WW's that could survive him. It used to **** me off. I care much less about everything nowadays but it was comical arguing with these guys. Fast forward a few years and I'd love for them to admit they weren't just wrong, but stupid wrong.

Fun to watch, no doubt. He didn't suck. But he was pretty basic.

He was so deadly a force I picked Algieri, Matthysse and Molina to beat him.:ggg

Good picks (if you'd cut the "maybe I picked them, maybe I was trolling" nonsense). I think I recall you being sane about the Algieri and Lucas fight when everybody was crying bonkers.

Suicide hotlines around the world got extra traffic after those fights from this forum alone.

I thought Matthysse would handle him, actually thought it would be wider than it was, but defo thought he'd slug Molina down I must admit. I do love how agendas shape everything with so many, though. Molina gets zero credit for that win from those who adored Provodnikov and Provodnikov gets purposely forgotten by those who praised him simply to try to give Crawford as little credit as possible for the joke-like ease in which he dispatched Molina. I get it. I've always said I am swayed in what to express by the majority thoughts of others on this forum. I stay silent on things when I agree with the majority, point out overrating/underrating when I feel it's being done. Pretty sure everyone's guilty of it to some degree if they can be honest. But sometimes it's just too much for some vocal folks on here.

Yeah, I was being serious as a heart attack about them, I'm trying to cut back on the trolling picks, since I'm a mod, and since I actually want credit for all the upsets I do call, and don't want anyone using my trolling picks against me. I still do it occasionally, only now when I do it, I do it with an obvious wink and a nod, if its an AJ, Cotto or CEJ involved, don't listen to me.

I don't give Crawford a ton of a lot of credit for it either, stylistically Molina was a bad matchup for Provo, and Crawford would have always been a bad matchup for John, who's never been great against slick fighters. But its a decent win regardless.

Yeah, and I was underwhelmed by it, although it would have been damn impossible to top Hell In A Cell, the main event was somewhat ponderous and not nearly enough actual TLC, the best matches on the card by far were Bliss s. Mickie and Finn vs. AJ.

I usually go over to my buddys house to watch the PPV's with he, his wife, and kids. Although the kids are just kind of there and they are in the extreme minority of tolerable and actually cool children. I haven't been over for quite a few months though. I took the Undertaker's loss and retirement at Mania pretty hard. Very hard. He has always been my favorite. The man needs an entirely new bottom half for God's sake... I did watch the main event and Asuka's match on youtube earlier. Not terrible but not great. I am a Rollins guy. I hate the roster split that's a major downer to me ever since they did that. I'll have to give the Finn/AJ match a watch. Cheers man!

I don't either really but I'm saying folks ought to stay consistent. There's a large group out there that through their own prior statements should be giving higher praise and/or acknowledgement rather than contradicting themselves or retreating from previous thoughts.
