There is no misrepresentation here. Novice pros do wind up in the ratings. Every week some illogical nominees make it onto some governing bodies world rankings. You say Cleveland Williams was a novice at 27 fights but Tua wasn't? Which is it? Why contradict yourself? And what does it mean anyway. Neither Tua or Ike became champion. In real terms The matchup between Tua and Ike was simply a fight between two prospects on the fringes of things. A cross roads bout. The two were so evenly matched they neutralised each other in an entertaining scuffle with neither hurting the other.

 

There was nothing natural about the size of Tua and Ike! Carnera and Simon yes but the former where juiced to fu##!

Nothing about Tua there looks incredibly massive. He's normal stocky, nothing particularly broad or large about his frame.
If that was a Marciano-era fighter I suspect some here would be saying he just hasn't the build to grow beyond 215 or 220 at most.
And to be honest, perhaps he didn't. Perhaps he should have stayed at 210 or less his whole career. He might have become a champion. We don't know.

Go to 6:19 to listen to interesting commentary about his weight. It seems Tua started his career off keeping in fairly decent trim shape for the most part. 211 was a good weight.
