I don't have video footage of them filling themselves with gear no. However I'm pretty damm sure Ike diddnt get that build from doing press ups alone. His body was so over developed it made his head look like a pea. His antics outside the ring were also classic signs of steroid abuse
As for Tua he seemed to bulk up a bit quickly diddnt he? I'm not a doctor but that was not a natural build imo
Tua put on lots of fat and some muscle. Whether he used drugs or not, I don't know. But everyone agrees he put on the weight, on a frame that didn't exactly look like it was begging to be filled out.
He never looked thin. Even when he was 201lb against Ron Humes. Another interesting guy was Orlin Norris. This guy matched Tuas highest weights and would drop back down to cruiserweight and back again. He yoyoed Between a super heavyweight weight and cruiser to suit each particular assignment. Norris was also Marciano/Tua kind of height and similar reach. He could weigh anything to order from fight to fight.
Don't play stupid, you are a better poster than that. I could just as easily narrow it down to the Wallace and Satterfield fights and claim he was 100 % fighter. Why cut off at his last 4 fights other than to just erroneously claim he was a .500 fighter? It's best to consider the whole picture. After losing the title via controversial decision, Charles toured the country for 16 months and went on 11-3 run in which almost every opponent was either rated, would be rated, or had just beat a rated fighter. Narrowing this entire run down to just 4 fights is deliberately misleading, even the Johnson loss was closely contested and disputable. Why do you think the NBA and RING agreed Charles was the top contender? It's because he fought and beat more contenders in a year than most had in their entire career, even if he lost to Valdes, and had two disputed decisions, he was no .500 fighter.
