He's also much improved since then and Trout would be the second best fighter GGG ever fought. Charlo holds a better single win than GGG does. GGG didn't beat Canelo.

He looks the goods though and is a welcome addition to the division but let's see him against a top tier 160 fighter who isn't crippled before we anoint him.

 

His jab for one thing is much better. His countering and defense to. Fighters do get better you know.

1)They get Canelo the lineal middleweight crown in a money fight vs Cotto
2)Successfully delayed GGG for awhile while Canelo peaked and GGG-Canelo grew into a superfight
3)Got their judges for Canelo-GGG.
4)Leveraged Lemieux into the most favorable spot possible for him to land the last remaining belt by making BJS fight happen on David's turf, setting them up for future PPV fights at MW regardless of the outcome of GGG-Canelo II.

 

If you think he loses to Charlo then there wont be no Canelo fight. GBP probably prefer that !

 

If he does he can still fight Canelo or Jacobs again. The money will still be there just not as much.

 

Nobody is shocked. Apart two or three that probably still think GGG is saying no to 8, 10, 12M $$$

If Saunders somehow caught fire and beat Lemmy, Canelo and GGG, it would be the biggest troll job in history. People's heads would explode and these boards would catch fire. Funny thing is, it's not outside the realm of possibility either.

 

i dont really have a problem with this fight...but they shouldnt have blocked ggg of fighting in december if they not gonna do the rematch in may.

In a perfect world there would be a tournament and best would fight the best (just the opposite what GBP is trying to do here).

Winner of Lemmy vs. Saunders would fight the winner of Charlo vs Jacobs. Who comes out the winner would take GGG vs Canelo winner. During that time undefeated contender would emerge as the winner of Devy vs Andrade would fight the winner of Murata vs Centeno and the winner would challenge the champion.

...resulting 9 competitive, meaningful and high level MW fights in the next 12-14 months. (Plus the fights that could be made between the defeated fighters and old vets like Murray & Lee.)

 

Canelo put a bigger beating on GGG than vice versa. I'm sire they are not scared of GGG's exaggerated power.
