Holmes and Liston have a good chance to beat him.

I'd be reasonably confident he wins against the rest.

Joe's jab keeps him in front of Tua.I think his combos take a toll of Frazier and his face swells up badly for a late stoppage.Holmes has the ability to out box Louis but his susceptibility to the right hand is a worry. Liston v Louis =50/50 . Prime Louis has too much for Rocky ,an old Louis whose power was rather eroded marked Rocky up pretty badly ,the younger Bomber would have that piston jab in his face all night. and his uppercuts would punish him as he came in. So Louis beats Tua,Frazier,Marciano, the other two are toss ups.imo

Wlad Klitschko and Joe Louis share the distinction of having fought their best opponent in their last fight. The prime Louis-Rocky fight is hard to call.

I'm not sure that Marciano was Louis' best opponent, maybe younger versions of Walcott and Charles were?

    Lol I don’t know, maybe. I don’t think so.
    That’s some serious devils advocate.

What makes you think Joshua was Wlad's best opponent ?
I'd say the evidence is to the contrary.

But AJ might have the potential to become so.

I feel size is a factor in these fights with the bigger guys punches being more dangerous to Louis or in Holmes and Liston`s case their reaches would count against him a lot, but in saying that Louis said he didn`t like swarmers and Marciano and Frazier both fought that way, so I think all these guys would give the more skilled Louis problems.

I couldn’t say AJ wasn’t his best opponent without feeling coy. If not him, then Fury.

They were all good enough to give him problems, would they beat him is the question?

This is how I see it.

I would favor him over all of them by margins ranging from an inch to a mile, but I would expect somebody to beat him, I just wouldn't know who it was going to be.

Of all the men who beat Wladimir, Joshua faced the oldest (41 !), most inactive (17month lay-off) version of Wladimir (coming off a loss too) - and yet AJ very almost lost.
AJ also had one of the weaker resumes going in to the fight, as poor as most of Wlad's mediocre challengers.

Don't get me wrong, AJ's very good for 19-0, very good.
But the evidence strongly points towards him (as of April 2017) not quite being the best Wlad had faced.
He has every opportunity to yet become so, but I think he very clearly wasn't.
