There's no obstacle in securing the rematch with GGG immediately. Neither fighter took any punishment that wouldn't allow for the rematch to happen in December or at the beginning of calendar year 2018.

Even when asked about the rematch in the post fight interview Golovkin expressed his eagerness to make it happen right away while Canelo indicated not until next year with the caveat of "if the fans wanted it".

Lemieux is a good option for Alvarez but why is he even planting the seed when the rematch with GGG is the big fight that makes the most business sense? A Alvarez vs Lemieux fight only creates the possibility to delay the rematch or should Alvarez lose, kill it altogether.

Waiting until May is fine, but for Oscar to throw out Lemieux's name as an "option" for Alvarez seems like he's planting the seed to make that fight at some point. I hope it's not before the rematch with GGG. The longer they push the rematch out, the higher the risk of losing some of the demand and interest from the public. It also presents a higher risk that both camps look towards other opponents to stay active in the interim.

much rather see lemieux vs canelo if lemieux beats bjs which i doubt. Lemieux is to dangerous for canelo to take that risk unless they can buy him like they bought ggg.

They're aging Golovkin. They'll never fight GGG. Same 'ol, same 'ol. But that one judge, did you see that horrible score!!!!!!? They bought GGG. GBP owns Vegas judges. Never mind the two scores which I'll remind everyone were 113-115 and 114-114. Somehow Canelo is scared again. SMH

I'll change my position after the last fight. I'd favor Canelo this time in a rematch. Canelo was able to change the way he fights against the predictably aggressive GGG. GGG was basically the same fighter he's always been.

    Really?

Fought Trout after he took Cotto to school
Fought Lara who was the consensus #1 JrMW at the time and the consensus #1 JrMW after Canelo left 154
Fought Cotto after Cotto after he got with Roach and started KTFO and dominating his opposition again, and was the WBC MW champ with a defense against top MW Geale.

Golovkin's best and only good win is Daniel Jacobs.

They would buy it but David would get outclassed like he did in his first PPV.
Jab, jab, jab. You learn on day 1 or 2 in class about defending against the jab and he ate jabs until the ref said he was full.

GBP and Canelo miscalculated and thought GGG had declined to the point he would be easy fight. They are not making that same mistake again. GBP/Canelo cant have another controversial draw or a controversial win, they need to make sure it's all done "legit" by Canelo.

I don't know how people can't see through their BS

Lara got a gift against Molina, should have lost that fight.

Trout has lost everytime he stepped up bar Cotto....who is his next best win?

Cotto beating a drained Geale is a good win but GGG who beat Geale has only one good win in Jacob? LMAO yeah great logic.

What next?......hes also beaten Amir Khan LMFAO

What's scary is that IsaL liked your post because he genuinely admires the way Oscar has handled things. Whereas I see it as cowardly for trying to wait GGG out and borderline corrupt as to what happened with the judging of the fight. Maybe it was corrupt. If a story came to light of Adelaide Byrd getting a brown envelope under the table I would not in the least be surprised.

I'd watch Lemmy/Canelo. I feel that Canelo can do what GGG did ... for the first 3 rounds, maybe. Then he takes a break against the ropes and Lemieux gets to work with those bone crunching power shots of his. Golovkin straight-up outboxed and outworked Canelo ... Lemieux would know that he can't outbox Canelo and that he needs to punch a hole through his ribs. This would be more competitive than people think.

LOL what? G arguably outworked Canelo, but outboxed Canelo? Those are really two different things. I'm not sure you understand what being outboxed means, because obviously G didn't do that to Canelo. G was a pressure, come forward fighter vs Canelo. That strategy allowed Canelo to outbox him by fighting off his backfoot and setting traps.

Canelo can win a round by flurries for 30 seconds. While GGG needs the entire round to win.
