Quite possibly, mate. His recovery was brilliant. A combination of incredible heart, a never say die attitude, sheer athleticism and a 41 year old boxer who will forever kick himself for taking his foot off the gas and not finishing the job.

If Wlad was so convinced that he could have won if he had stepped it up when he had Joshua on the ropes then he should have taken the rematch.

I suspect he came in heavy in the Klitschko fight to gain an upper hand in grappling with him in expected clinches. It clearly worked (although I suspect AJ could have handled it still the same if he was a bit lighter). This came at a cost of losing a few extra precious gallons in the gas tank. Am sure they realised this so why he is coming in lighter this time. It so nearly cost him the fight, no need to be so muscle bound to be effective, am sure he will look sharp and more energetic this time around for it.

AJ was blowing v Wlad because it was the first time he was in an actual fight during his pro career against an albeit old but still elite guy.

He was blowing in the Klitschko fight

Oxygen being wasted feeding too much muscle

Increasing cardio and dropping some weight training is a no-brainer. Losing 10-14 pounds is nothing for a man that size.

Joshua said this himself right after the Wlad fight. He went back into a form of camp right away to keep the weight down for when the next camp really got going.

Nothing to do with who he is fighting.

I reckon it's because he gassed a lot in the later rounds with Wlad and he would better off being a bit smaller to carry more endurance if he gets taken into later territory. I think it's a very good idea; I was a bit concerned at how tired he got.

We'll see if it's actually true when they weigh in.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. I can't see him going below 245lbs
